There would not be a TRUE version of IFX14 because TRUE itself is a product by Thermalright

Guess the only difference is its in Black.

i didnt know that the IFX14 back side cooler can be bend like uglyvamp does, hrm............ may be i'll consider this for my stacker...... hehe

btw the new black true is just cover with black nickel coating, thermalright sure went through a lot of trouble, it a bit more challenging to be done afaik, may be taiwanese has invented some new method to do it

the backside cooler thermal pad releases oil after using it sometime... dunno will it damage anything... so i removed the backside cooler...

you can refer to my rig pics (on my sig btw), it barely fits my antec p180 so i have to bend it a bit (well actually i didnt bend it, just forcefully push the damn thing in till it bent a bit XD)

mine dun have coz i dont use the backside cooler (cant fit into my case )

u wanna replace the thermal pad with what from 3M? take note that the pad is kinda thick... so finding a replacement might be a lil tough.

3m got thin 1, but very difficult to find here........ hrm..... must go do some research see what kind of oil is that......

btw if they decide to go black nickel coating for IFX14, it will be very cool

but ive been using it so far, mobo still kickin, maybe not electrically conductive? or the oil is somehow contained within the metal thingy area?

thermal tape got 2 types as far as i know, 1 thick and 1 thin;

Thin 1 usually is clear type, like those use by Thermalright HR-07 1, but so far i still have not saw any place have these on sales. The thick 1 can be find in some hardware shop, but i dunno whether it thermal conductive tape or not though haha, need some expert to advice.

most oil is not electrically conductive, but i cannot confirm though. And i dun like any liquid doing anything on my mobo, except for thermal paste.... haha..........

thin 1 wont work... coz the thermal pad is actually thick...and i mean THICK.

3M thermal tape dude... like the ones uglyvamp is selling is thin and black in colour.

owh..thx for the link madman..so need to find 3M thermal tape ah..if the normal 3M tape?izzit thermal conductive tape oso like the gray color

that would just be double sided tape man... not for thermal use.

some peope use the thin double sided tape and put a very small amount of TIM on the center of the heatsink then stick it on the rams.

id recommend getting the 3m tapes from uglyvamp though they stick really well and ive never had one fall off before.
