QUOTE(temptation1314 @ Sep 24 2007, 09:09 AM) aiyar, i still confused whether the ifx can fitted into my casing or not. The height from the CPU to heatsink top is 160mm right?? I just measured. from the mobo to the top of the IFX is 170mm. QUOTE(LExus65 @ Sep 24 2007, 10:38 AM) 4ghz on air, super duper dunno how to discribe............wander how much is the retail price for IFX 14 from interasia.......... may be it's time to ditch my HR-01 for this new baby btw uncle from picture it seems hr-07 take up quite space...........so using 4 piece ram is impossible to use it i pressumed Can use on 4 sticks ram. 2 sticks use the Type L(low version) like mine. 2 other sticks use Type H(high version). The high version sits on top of the low version. This post has been edited by ianho: Sep 24 2007, 03:23 PM

stacker with the tuniq have to remove the fan on the side panel swing thingy... with xigmatek have to remove the whole side panel fan thing. thermalright ultra aroound the same ure ifx same lor... sishh just realise ITS INSANE...

From this review, the memory heatsink adhesive of the HR-03 PLUS is very weak. http://www.tomshardware.com/2007/08/27/how...lers/page2.htmlBro Ianho, did u face the same issues? If use third party thermal adhesive, will it be too sticky and hard to remove the heatsink when you want to take it off in the future?

If use third party thermal adhesive, will it be too sticky and hard to remove the heatsink when you want to take it off in the future? It's always a problem when ppl dont clean the chips properly b4 applying the heatsinks. It's not the thermal tape's fault. The tape that comes with the heatsinks is a good brand called Sekisui. U need to clean off the oil left behind by the stock thermal pads. The stock thermal pads leave a very oily white residue on the chips. If u just stick the heatsinks on top of that, it's sure to fall off. The way I do it is to use Zippo lighter fluid to clean off all the oil. Then I use alcohol to clean off the zippo residue n the chips are like brand new with no oil on them. THEN n only then do u stick the heatsinks on. The tapes are very strong, u just need to clean the chips properly 1st. It's quite shocking to c a site like Tom's Hardware doing things like that actually. It's just basic knowledge to clean off the chips 1st b4 sticking on the heatsinks. This post has been edited by ianho: Sep 25 2007, 11:49 AM
