Those who have received an appointment to be vaccinated need to confirm their attendance within 48 hours or their appointment will be cancelled, says the Special Committee on Covid-19 Vaccine Supply Access Guarantee (JKJAV).
The Committee tweeted that should users fail to respond, the appointment will automatically be rescheduled to a later date.
Users also have the option to say no to the appointment, which will prompt them to reschedule it, subject to confirmation.
Science, Technology and Innovation Minister Khairy Jamaluddin was reported saying recipients in Phase 2 will receive notifications 14 days before their appointment, starting from April 5.
He added that after the first notification, recipients will also be reminded twice via an SMS then a call. The first reminder will be sent three days before the appointment and the second one will be sent a day before.
He said once recipients agree to the appointment, attendance is compulsory as no-shows would lead to wastage of the vaccine.
The second phase of the vaccination programme will start on April 19 and will cover those above 60, those with co-morbidities as well as people with disabilities (OKU).
According to the JKJAV, so far 8,309,480 or about 34.3% of the population have signed up for the vaccination programme, as of April 8.
