just been charged MYR600 for annual fees on my credit card and when I called customer service, was told that their bank only will waive 50% which is MYR300 and I need to pay the balance.
The thing is the bank called and offer me Cash on call last month and I took it up, so seems they are squeezing me to pay extra (annual fees) and do not want to give me a full waiver
may I ask for advice here, I do have another card issued by the same bank (one visa and one master), possible for me to cancel the annual fee card and transfer my so called COC balance to the other card?
I have also been told that I cannot early settle the COC as it incurs 5% early settlement penalty.
Please help
Annual fee is postpaid, so if u did not utilized your card after u got charged annual fee, you can ask for cancellation and annual fee waiver. same goes to SST.The thing is the bank called and offer me Cash on call last month and I took it up, so seems they are squeezing me to pay extra (annual fees) and do not want to give me a full waiver

If u already used the card then u are at the bank mercy.
Anyhow isnt it usually banks will waiver annual fees as long u fulfill the min spending requirements?
if u cant fulfill min spending better u cancel the card and move to other no annual fee card.
And yes u can balance transfer your balance to other card.
