I opened an account on the weekend, deposit money on Saturday and got "overnight interest".

The money was sitting idle on another account, so at least with overnight interest that's bit more than just transferring on Monday.
It was a nice discovery since I just opened the versa account to try it.

And maybe you can chill on the facepalm emojis, it seems everything around the world just annoys you all the time or you're way too smart for everything.

That Saturday is not the worst day, since you do get overnight interest. I haven't tried on Sunday so can't say about that.

So which is worst? Saturday or Sunday? If Sunday no interest at all, why Saturday is the worstt?
At least on Saturday I got overnight interest, from my experience.

Or maybe, just maybe:
Someone's FD matured on Saturday or he received money to his account on that day.
So instead of letting it idle over the weekend till Monday, he could transfer it directly on Saturday to get some overnight interest?

Instead of assuming someone purposely letting the money sit for one week in savings account until Saturday.

From me clarifying that sometimes people might get morey on weekends, thus depositing on Saturday in Versa is not a bad idea since you get overnight interest:

This is nothing to with FD. I simply gave an EXAMPLE of how someone might get money on Saturday, EXAMPLE if an FD matures or someone transfers money.
And rather than waiting till Monday, it might not be a bad idea to deposit into Versa on Saturday.
