Hello Guys.

I'm new to Versa.

I can't find info on the maximum amount of Cash Out from Versa Cash account. In case we need to use a larger amount within 24 hours. And also after the promo ends on 30 June, might need to withdraw most of the account balance in one go.

Thanks in advance thumbsup.gif

not necessarily
versa cash cutoff is 3pm, so quite likely had been processed yesterday
which means would have bought at the NAV of 25/6
*
Does the date of processing determine when interest starts accruing? I always thot it was the date the transaction is completed which, for a online transfer in, is 2 working days later. Based on the examples given in the website.

Submit for Versa Cash withdrawal on 25.06 9am
Funds credited today evening

Agreed, withdrawal is T+1. That is specified in the T&C.

But deposit is T+2.

Question is when interest starts accruing on deposits. hmm.gif T+2 I believe

I anticipated this will happen and withdrawed last week. Now my baseline is only RM5k

Can ask, where do you get your baseline? Is is shown anywhere in the app? Is it the Total Assets shown on the 1st page of the app as at last night? Or as at this morning?

I withdrew some funds yesterday (30/6). Processed yesterday, and credited to my bank account today (1/7)

Since the baseline Versa uses for the 4.2% promo is 30/6, would I be entitled to it if I cashed in tomorrow the funds I withdrew yesterday?

A bit confused by Versa confused.gif laugh.gif

Yeah I think it's the highest from my experience of using Versa. Plus the fresh funds 2% quest in June that's a whopping 6.11%
*
Plus a bit more via reading article quests and auto-debit quest. Tho these are limited amounts.

Versa is quite generous lately thumbsup.gif

Any idea when does Versa credits the base returns? As far as I can tell, recently my total assets accrue at just below 3 % per day.

it should be on a daily basis and based on per annum tho.

I believe that to be conservative, they use a lower rate daily, because they don't yet know what rate will be declared each month. Once the rate is declared, there will be a one-off adjustment each month end?

Received Versa Bonus 2% for May and June today.

Yup.

But how to verify their calculation? Are there statements for May & June in the app showing the daily balances?

i use my record , back calculate

7.5.25 deposited RM80.7k completed on 9.5.25
14.5.25 deposited 30k completed on 16.5.25

received  2% Bonus RM322.10

i guess it is like this

80.7k x 2% x 55/365 RM243.20
30k x 2% x 48/365 RM78.90

surprisingly good, Versa calculated 2%
from the day i deposited
no loss 2 days interest  whistling.gif

0.3% bonus also correct
RM4.52 = 10k x 0.3% x 55/365

PS:
subsequent months no more bonus
just nice send to Ganjaran 1%

Can do what you did or, if there are many transactions, create our own statements for May & June, and calculate the interest on daily balances.

I have 10 cash-in and 6 cash-out during that period, so it's a little more work involved. To complicate matters, they add accrued interest in the cash out (no idea how they calculate the accrued interest).

Based on rough calculations, the interest is more or less what was actually credited.

Thanks for confirming that the system calculations are accurate. I don't think I will bother to do exact calculations thumbsup.gif

Like the others, I also have not received the 0.3% reading booster.

From 4.1% (June) to 3.3% (July), that is a big plunge for Versa Save when the OPR dropped only 0.25%.

For those who are not participating in 4.2% fixed rate quest, you should consider moving to KDI, if Versa's performance don't improve. Even 2nd tier of KDI Save (above 50k), gives an effective rate of 3.5%.
*
3.3% is for Versa Cash-i.

It's 3.38% for Versa Cash.

Still, it is a big drop, way bigger than the recent cut in OPR, as you say. I am also a bit shocked. Versa Cash is supposed to provide relatively stable returns. Did Versa provide any explanation? hmm.gif

This is not looking good for us if it continues. Will see how August nett return is before making any deposits/withdrawals.

From Versa FAQ:

"Investing with Versa means choosing lower risks with potentially higher returns. Versa invests in a specific Money Market Fund called the Affin Hwang’s Enhanced Deposit Fund which only invests in low-risk assets – short term deposits in multiple Malaysian banks. Next, Versa lets you make the most out of your money. Unlike Fixed Deposits which only offers basic interest, Versa offers interest that is compounded daily. Finally, you can make on the spot decisions with Versa. With Versa, you can withdraw anytime with all the interest earned and expect your money to be in your bank account within the next day* – with no penalties!"

Hurt by banks slashing money market deposit rates?

Money market rates ain't going up soon, so what can they do to improve the returns hereafter?

For those of us wondering, if we had made Cash Out on 30 June, which amount was completed and credited to our bank account on 1 July, whether the Cash Out is included in the 30 June Baseline for the purpose of the 4.2% FD Quest, I called Versa CS, who confirmed that the Cash Out on 30 June is NOT included in the Baseline.
