actually what is the point of invest in Versa Cash-i? It is offering the same promotion rate as Versa Cash.

Some ppl said KDI Save return is better than Versa Cash and Cash-i even though KDI save rate is just 3.5%, is this true?
*
Same day withdrawal before 10.30am

QUOTE(storky20 @ May 18 2023, 09:13 PM)
Versa Cash-i is Shariah-compliant. It’s a different fund on the back-end so there’s slight differences.
*
Versa I is accumulated fund hence no rebate being paid out other than the price is going up and the extra bonus to cover the difference to 4%

QUOTE(Gwynbleidd @ May 19 2023, 09:50 AM)
Yeah, I would suggest Short Duration US Treasuries for the higher yield however forex rate is a double edged sword.
*
FX is not the double edged sword 🤦‍♀️ but more on the duration itself because you need to right timing to cash in and cash out

Tempted now to cash out due to RM break the resistance going downhill 🤦‍♀️

How do you receive the cash rebate? Cheque or direct bank in?
*
Cash rebate is being paid into your account directly by units distribution to be added in your account because it is liquid fund

Of course I got 🤦‍♀️ go read properly as it has stated in the website as well 🤦‍♀️

You earn when the unit price of the fund increases and it is reflected in your Versa Cash-i balance as you’ll see your balance increase.

https://versa.com.my/versa-cash-i/

As if you don’t know even the underlying fund itself 🤦‍♀️ as I have invested it since last Nov 🤦‍♀️ as it class B fund 🤦‍♀️

Don’t know just say don’t know fool 🤦‍♀️

Don’t even know the class of the fund that they are investing 🤦‍♀️

Just proof it, show us where is it stated so
You should be reported for spreading misinformation [Versa i give rebates, you said NO REBATE]
instead my post challenging your lies/misinformation got reported
Thanks.
Proof is there now
there is Rebate paid for Versa i

So come  xander2k8 ,what excuse  now?
Oh  you didnt refer to Versa Cash i........ha ha
You meant Versa i invest.....oh ok..
you think people in here all fools?

Either way he must be lying
1:He has no Versa i account
2.He has Versa i, he knows but just wanna tell lies .
*
Go check the detailed transactions 🤦‍♀️ it is under Bonus tab 🤦‍♀️ hence it is topped up by Versa 🤦‍♀️ not paid out from the rebates of the fund 🤦‍♀️

In the 1st place there 2 different classes on that fund and yet would not know and cannot named the class of the fund and the current price 🤦‍♀️

Rebate = free cash given by Versa, right ?
Payout = free units given by Versa, right ?

Both also considered as earnings from your Versa investment
*
To simplify things rebate is paid out from the fund itself by AHAM while Bonus is paid out by Versa and usually either referral bonus or top up for promo rate hence both are different 🤦‍♀️

QUOTE(PueRTeaA @ May 21 2023, 03:34 PM)
Rebate by right should be you Pay RM 100, shop return back you RM 5, RM 5 is call rebate. You got RM 100 value, but cost is RM 95.

Bonus is you pay RM100, shop give you extra RM 5 value become RM105. You got RM 105 value, but cost is RM 100.

So the term use by Versa abit misleading and make people CONFUSE biggrin.gif

Different people may have different interpretation
*
Already inform Versa to fix since last year because even now referral bonus shows as rebate as well 🤦‍♀️

QUOTE(guy3288 @ May 21 2023, 05:10 PM)
When people see their Versa shows rebates,
no reason to say no rebates paid.

i remember seeing Bonus, referral bonus and rebates all in 1 page previously
so bonus is not just rebate.
*
Go look properly in the 1st place when you are wrong 🤦‍♀️ when now even Bonus all are showing rebates whether it is referral bonus as well

rebate ≠ Bonus ≠ referral bonus

if everything is rebate, rebates included, then how did  you know Versa doesnt
pay rebate ?

Who told  you ?
you in charge running Versa cash?

Twist and turn no use.
just show proof lah, you said stated there go read...

people dont trust you, so  prove it , apa susah sangat?
show us where Versa said no rebates .
*
Versa website already says many times for Versa I so don’t twist turn and turn around instead 🤦‍♀️ as you can’t even differentiate between Versa and Versa I 🤦‍♀️

You earn when the unit price of the fund increases and it is reflected in your Versa Cash-i balance as you’ll see your balance increase. Your money and its earnings will then be reinvested into the fund once more, so you can earn returns from your previous returns.

That is just plain wrong. Rebate is never paid by the fund. It is paid by Versa. The fund only pays distribution. Stop confusing others with your own interpretation of the terms just to prove you are right. doh.gif
Yes, despite proven wrong many times by many people, he still want to twist things here and there even though it does not make any sense at all.
*
Go check and read properly as under pay out rebate 🤦‍♀️ are paid from the fund 🤦‍♀️ while Bonus is paid from Versa using the word rebate 🤦‍♀️

Versa explained that it “may make up for the amount difference” by crediting rebates when the daily returns earned fall below 4%. (inclusive of fees). This way, even when the interest rate of the fund fluctuates, users will be able to consistently earn each month.

Versa  4.3% p.a. Net Return Rate
KDI  4.0% Effective Annual Rate (EAR)

Which one has the higher rate?
*
Versa because 4.3% is actual return while EAR is at 3.91% actual return

Actually serious qtn. If versa can give 4.3% after fees and deductions. Why banks cannot give more then that?
*
Because Banks are paying the shareholders 1st and followed with higher costs to run a bank platform 🤦‍♀️ and expenses like branches and officers which causes it to give you less because of expenses

If you read the fund information properly 🤦‍♀️ the MMF itself only returning 3.54% and Versa-I is 2.91% last month while the shortfall to 4.3% is funded through Versa itself coupled trailer fee rebates from AHAM

You shouldn’t be scared 🤦‍♀️ because there is no way and not so easy from them to collapse from such promo because it has been accounted for and the limit of the promo is so low that is only up to 30k

QUOTE(LoTek @ Jul 12 2023, 07:27 PM)
Maybe brick and mortar costs higher. Also versa might not be making profit. Iirc hk digital banks all loss making until now.
*
Yes physical banks expenses is high and they only make more money when interest rate are low

You cannot compared 🤦‍♀️ to HK digital banks because small population over there while highly saturated mass market with high cost of living over there while the HNW are banking with physical banks unlike Malaysia whereby population is 7times higher with high penetration rate

Don’t forget HK monetary policy are following lockstep with the Fed because of HKD is being pegged to the dollar in this high inflationary era

I have been a Versa Cash user for many years... I'm an inactive user, just put some money there and ignore it. tongue.gif Actually how can I have a Versa Cash-i account as well? I want to help to put some of my mom's funds so that our savings and interest will be separated if it can be divided into Cash and Cash-i. I tried checking around the app, but I could not find it. Did I overlook something? Appreciate your advice.
*
No need headache because both are separate portfolio and you just need to select which one because by default an account will have both of it

i think in and out takes about 4 days
so if you plan to put like 30k into Versa when you calculate your interest make sure to deduct the 4 days, if kena saturday and sunday or public holiday lagi long
so we just take 4 days saja la..

here is the rough calculation for 30 days of interest for 30k vs 26 Days (assuming you taking money out on monthly basis)

RM30000 x 4.3% / 365 x 30 days = RM106.02
RM30000 x 4.3% / 365 x 26 days = RM91.89

If we put money in Rize RM30000 x 4% / 365 x 30 days = RM98.63

So if you are someone that move the 30k out on a monthly basisy you will only get RM91.89, if you want your money to go in and come out easily like bank then Rize lo...
for me i wont move the money in and out on a monthly basis and i plan to leave it till the promotion (4.3%) is over and treat it like a eFD
*
You can’t calculate like this 🤦‍♀️ because fund returns is not fix monthly while the rebate to top up to 4.3% is only paid 2 weeks later after the fund has provided the returns the month before 🤦‍♀️

Rebates - Cash bonus (usually middle of the month)
Reinvestment - dividends (usually end of the month)
*
Don’t forget rebates is the shortfall to cover the promo rate to top it up to 4.3% currently otherwise you will only get actual dividends of 3.54% and 2.91% for I in the month of June

Rebates are paid out 2nd Tuesday of each month while reinvestment being paid out 4th Wednesday of each month which is the fund structure

if it drop mean we lose capital right? TQ

It will go up and down 🤦‍♀️ when it drops in value you will gain units which is means your money value grows provided you don’t withdraw

All MMF are in these structure when the payout dividends and reinvested in the following month

QUOTE(virtualgay @ Jul 23 2023, 09:57 PM)

Then you have to wait until after 4th Wednesday of next month then you will see the results is growing more with the referral bonus

I already started Versa since from the start no issues and in fact way more happy as everytime the promo rate grows higher with now faster same day withdrawal

1) withdraw on the last day of the month, leaving RM 10 in the account
2) wait until the rebate credited

Just read the whole topic as ppl as has been posted before 🤦‍♀️ on the returns

Even if you withdraw you can’t leave rm10 because it is not a bank account 🤦‍♀️ as there is minimum of rm100 otherwise full withdrawal
