It would not be wise to replace the water shower head with a rainshower type simply because the water pressure will drop and what you may get from the rainshower are just trickles of water. Even if you swap the original shower heads with after market types sometimes cause the same issue. Instant water heater's shower head is designed with the system's water pressure ability. In most cases the shower head's outlet are usually very narrow in order to create a higher pressure.
