Am looking to get a Godox camera flash, to replace my old Nissin DI622.

Went to their official website, toooo many models to choose from. Do not know how to choose. Hope sifus can enlighten me?

1) What is the different between TT and V model?
2) Am looking at the V860II, V850II, V850. But I don't know what are the differences.

1. TT= uses AA batteries. V=uses propriety lithium battery(included with charger). The V Has faster recycling, more consistent color consistency and longer battery life.

2. V860ii = with TTL, V850ii and V850 Non-TTL. Not sure about the V850ii vs V850, but normally the newer ones have better color consistency and slightly better recycle times.

I started using godox 3 years ago with TT680 or something can remember the numbers... really love the godox except the AA batteries... imagine going through wedding and you need 2-3 sets of fully charged AA batteries... so I bought the V860II and V350... and photoshoot become very liberating without the AA batteries.... I'm a hobbyist but I can confidently say I can shoot 2 weddings or more with 1 charging of V series battery


Buy V860II... great product... not longer fiddling with AA batteries. The V860II rechargeable is rated 500 full power shot... I have been using quite a while... and really no need to worry about batteries anymore....

I'm using Fujifilm bodies... so V350 is similar to V860 but smaller body... suitable for my smaller xt20 body while the V860 is for xt4...

There are many other models. The super cheap TT600=AA batteries, non TTL, and the smaller 350 models (I was lookig around for these to match my em10)

True. I also agree that the lit ion batteries completely liberate us from AA hoarding.

True, but I am not heavy user, so guess will stick back to AA models.

think now Godox no more newer flash model for AA batteries version.
i used few v860ii (buy n sell n buy again, lol) , from years of using it on Canon DSLR to mirrorless, the v860ii have some minor usage improvement (e.g.: more stable). and V860 ii allow firmware update to compatible with newer camera support (as i had some experience using older v860 ii with newer camera body have instability issue).

and last year bought a godox v1, much more small improvement compare with v860 ii , of course have it some cons (round flash head need godox own flash modifier, need to buy spare li-ion battery)

so make sure the flash your camera able to fully compatible/support well.
