It's right. You should spend no more than 10-15% of your salary in car.

8K salary means you only have 800 to 1.2K for car.

MyVi loan is about RM700 a month, so plus insurance, service, roadtax, petrol and general maintenance, that would comes to 1.2K a month.

Anything more, you are heading to trouble.

car supposed to be a mode of transportation, getting an axia / myvi good enough interm of space, aircond, and fuel cons.. many people nowadays dont know changing their 3 years old 5 years old car for what (except those really know how to play with resale value and car enthusiast )
inovlve in long driving daily (say 100-200km pday probably shud get a more comfy sedan / salloon).

want big car in some occassion why not rent it when you need it,lol maintenance is way cheaper.

DRIVING WAS NOT MEANT TO BE RELAX, we dont need "everyone can drive" culture on our daily road.
Driving meant to be stress, stay full alert, and energetic all the time, feel stress / tired / fatique, stop the driving, you are not supposed to drive under any circumstances like that.

5 years loan is about there. 7 should be the max.
