just wanna know how disgusted / backward / boring am i in person too 

of course comparing with makan nugget seems exaggerated as one cost u syiling, another cost u few years installment there.

because i always wanna find out what ppl actually obsessed about driving a car, a better car, and what kind of "strong urge" - fak it, i must change my car - although no pressure, no teasing, no breakdown, i.e. driving a myvi for 2 years, nth wrong, working place 10-20km one way, but people actually complaining

" ah my car no power, like a sampan, noisy when go over 120kmh .. etc" i wanna change a car, while we are not talking about upgrading a myvi to a s/e class marseli, some just change from myvi to c segment sedan or suv.

General rule of thumb is to only buy the car that your annual salary you can afford. So 8K should be 96K annually, maybe Honda City is *OK* but if you factor in so many other things - toll, petrol, maintenance, parking - it becomes a much larger figure.

That's why KC Lau suggest in name of frugality - get a Myvi even if you earn 8K, which I actually agree.

I've seen many that say "oh if you earn 5K can buy BMW" - sure you can, but eat grass everyday or starve to pay the car loan - is that worth it? Nothing wrong with driving myvi even if you're rich or a manager, obviously if you're an insurance agent might be a different story (to show that you're successful), but otherwise - does it really matter if it serves your need, takes you from point A to B?

I agree on need, family, business etc - that one make sense. But if need to gain respect..then sorrylah, that one if you want to impress people you dont know and dont like then no point - suffer for nothing to me

2) gaya to friends and in-laws? pui ... not necessary

3) VIP customer fly in from London? When I went to London, my company sent a Mercedes with a driver to pick me up from the airport and drive me around.
Was I impressed? No. Nothing to be impressed about. Doesn't matter if they sent a Mercedes or a Ford or a Kia.

4) gain respect from other fellow road user .... LOL!!!     

5) gain respect from business partners/customers ...

If you need to buy expensive cars just to impress people, then you are very superficial, artificial, skin deep. That is sad and pathetic.

Every heard of managers that only knows how to talk and boast but cannot actually do anything or solve any problem?
