Hi Jaden, thanks for reading. Overtime, I did change my mindset about the whole thing about buying a car and how much loan and tenure we should get.
For car affordability: the better benchmark is to tie the car price with your income. I would say spending less than 1 year of income on car is okay.
Example, earning RM80k a year, don’t buy any car that cost more than 80k. If not, imagine working for many years just to own a car.

For car loan: I now prefer the longest tenure, so it ease my cash flow, let me have more capital for investments.
