Hi all, I have a questions on telco with contract. I have intention to get an additional iPhone like XR as a secondary phone under Maxis Normal contract of 24 months. However, i will use other telco (digi) in this phone and wondering will Maxis lock the phone if they detected different simcard is used?
My maxis simcard will be in my primary phone still....just curious as some people phone got lock if they use different simcard/telco. hmm.gif

Malaysia does not SIM lock phones even for the iPhone 3G years back, I also think MCMC does not allow SIM locks.

thanks for the answer so far but still i am abit clueless on this before signup with Maxis contact to get the phone at cheaper price. (normal contract)

1) Maxis line - current using in iPhone also

2) Planning to use my another line DIGI for the contract phone from Maxis

Can Maxis lock if they found out im using digi sim/teclo in the phone?

No issue. As long as you pay the monthly fee as per contract.

Definitely no problem. You will only have problem if you didn't pay, then Maxis will block the iPhone under contract.

Normal contract should be no issue.

Those on loan phone policies like zerolution/phomefreedom etc may be different, not too sure.
