PC hardware shortages and high prices makes it hard to build a machine these days, and you might want to go prebuilt if you can icon_idea.gif

Get prebuilt. They are cheaper these days. Graphic card prices are ridiculous.

Add another 8GB RAM to that build as well. RM1000 more can get Dell with RTX 3060 Ti. Significantly more gaming performance.

There are some issues finding some hardware these few months and you will end up will either cheap graphic card (which require you to upgrade later) or the overpriced ones. But for 5k you can get a pretty decent pc.

For video editing you may need quite huge storage for long term use.

Tip: that Dell uses 3200MHz RAM, but it's the standard JEDEC spec, so you need a JEDEC standard 3200MHz RAM (also known as Value RAM), like this:

I am not following on pc components.. but want to know if build a pc now is worthwhile?

Generally I hear prices are sky high.. but I do not know is it for all components like CPU, graphics, ram, motherboard, psu, etc.. or only for few items prices is high

RAM increase, motherboard increase, GPU increase, CPU increase, SSD increase, HDD increase, monitor increase, PSU increase, gaming mice increase, gaming keyboard increase, PS4 increase, PS 5 increase, Nintendo switch increase

Example 650w branded PSU usually can get around 260 to 300 now 350 to 400

Mostly everything is increase, wait until next year june only you decide, print screen whatever you found on shopee current price, wait until next year june price and make a comparison

Wow.. all increase, if few increase maybe I bite the bullet. I roughly check mid tier built on shopee components ryzen 3600 and others (except gpu) comes around 2800 - 3000 MYR. Is this similar with before price increase?

Why june next year? Anything special for computer parts during that time?

R5 3600 should be around RM 650 to 700, but now 900 and up for retail box version

Long time ago ram shortage due to fire in factory, HDD price increase due to floode take year to recover , now tsmc based on Taiwan due to water shortage hahahaha,
