HI all,

I am using TPlink AX50 router and on maxis fibre, need help on how to free up my LAN port instead of being preset to as follows (please refer to image below). I would like to use the ports 1-4 as internet not as VOIP and IPTV because I do not have those two. Had tried to change to custom setup but can't seem to connect to internet if put to custom. Ports are needed for LAN connection to my PC, TP, Alarm & TVBOX. With current config, I can use only port 2 and 3 for internet connections to the said devices.

Current config:
LAN Port 1 : IPTV
LAN Port 2 : Internet
LAN Port 3 : Internet
LAN Port 4 : VOIP

Can't find the answer through google and not so sure what is the right term to search too. If there is a link/previous post to this matter, please send it here for reference.

Thank you in advance.

Select custom then set internet vlan ID to 621

If it doesn’t allow you to save then enter 821 for VOIP, 823 for IPTV

Be sure to tick 802.1Q tag

Then put all the lan ports to internet

Another easy way is just to buy a cheap 8-port switch, and connect it to one of the free LAN ports, cost around RM 25-30

That way, you can still use IPTV and have more LAN ports for your devices

No need to fiddle with any of the LAN settings

Yep the settings inside the router does not cater for current maxis settings.

Plug to Lan1 > internet

set up as above manually.
