yeah, the commercial ones are well-known. no doubt about it. the real culprit is the one that builds the Navy contract. last time this yard only do ship repairs, limited to naval vessels only.
building navy ship skill has been lost, i would say. so sad.
no continuity by part of the gomen to retain the skills of building naval ships on our own, be it big or small.
MMHE has turned from shipbuilding to ship repair and offshore construction. Sarawak-based yards continue to churn out tugs and barges, landing crafts and small vessel with no complexity of a naval vessels.
likewise Labuan Shipyard too turned to ship repairer.
THHE yard is building MMEA vessels tapi till now belum launch lagi.
Destini Marine can build build small vessels only, nothing the size of an OPV or corvette
to sum it up, we are f***ked!
