I saw this clip from xiao hong shu, they used "石膏板" as the wall tv panel. Anyone tried doing something similar like this?
As far as i know, the most commonly used material is laminated melamine.
Is there any other more affordable material can be used?

That would be a cheap solution, as melamine/laminated chipboard not that expensive for flat panel (materials-wise).

The elcheapo alternative is use gypsum board (plaster ceiling board) in large sheets of 4x8ft https://shopee.com.my/Gyproc-Gypsum-Partito...3458.7257005763 ; 4x6 also available https://shopee.com.my/USG-gypsum-plasterboa...6467.7415717835 , cut the joining corner edges to 45deg butt joint together and install like drywall, for tv bracket easiest is to cut a hole for the bracket space and mount to the wall using the aluminum batten or pine wood 1x2 as framing. Then just tape over the joint lines, use the corner bar (like https://shopee.com.my/L-Cantonera---Corner-...6467.6842723328 ), mud over taped lines, screw holes, and the corner bar with the ASG joint compound ( https://shopee.com.my/ASG-PLASTER-COMPOUND-...4773.7371803753 ) then paint over with preferred colour or use wallpaper stick over.

Pls take note - gypsum board won't be strong enough to hold that 30kg TV on its own - without reinforcement planks (mounted to wall) for the bracket.

Unpopular opinion: how about using plain wall with solid paint as featured wall?

Malaysian really do have a weird fetish for TV wall.

That is usually compounded by the wall being a non hackable structural wall (to place conduit for all the HDMI, power cables leading up to the TV).
