If you got no special requirement (need freesync, or want 144hz), 24" monitor can get below 500 also good enuff ady. Use the excess on something else

Ayam using Acer XV240YP 24". IPS display and 144Hz, quite nice. (plus comes with stand with adjustable height, tilt and swivel)
around 580 on sale. quite loving it thus far.
on-board speakers are terrible tho
But curved screen ah? If it's not ultrawide I dont think I'd bother with curve screen.

If your are gonna game on 1080p, 21" better and more worth. Go 24" only if your budget allows it at 1440p

Actually my requirement i quite cincai la, as long as 24" and got speaker can ad. The reason come with speaker is cause i dont need to buy another speaker.. so much hassle.. and waste space.. haha.. better just use monitor speaker.. haha.. Your monitor got speaker?

Got. If your requirement is mainly for work, the BenQ monitor is enough. You can even go for cheaper monitor if your requirement is cincai, just for work. Just remember to find monitor that supports 1080p (probably majority of 24" monitor supports this), 24" is too big for just 720p, it's going to be ugly af

Honestly though, if you buy 2k monitor also the speaker is going to be subpar. The sound quality is like pasar malam speaker. Enough if you want to use it to listen to moomoo announcement, but probably not enough to enjoy your movie.

Just buy a bluetooth speaker or headphone if you want at least a somewhat decent sound quality. Having said that, it's probably best if you decide that after you try living with your monitor speaker for few months see if you can tolerate the sound quality. I sometimes use the monitor's speaker too when I forgot to charge my headphone
