it everything still in good condition, upgrade RAM and SSD, use as spare laptop or for entertainment purpose, on and off can try to DIY something like replace thermal paste and fan cleaning. I am still using my Asus N56VZ now which I bought back in 2012

Still using my Lenovo Y480 from 2012. Only upgrade is slap SSD on it and run Ubuntu.
Not using computer much and it does the job. Dual boot with Windows 10 just in case. The fan runs amok whenever boot into windows. |

I had an 7 YO alienware mx14, i upgrade SSD and done reformating. Good to go for daily task, so fast still running strong af
