I think the Z625 is good for movies but not good for music.
Z625 is meant for gaming first. So explosions in shooting games sounds good and boomy.
But for music, you hardly hear those upper frequencies above 10khz and the bass is booomm, boooomm, boooom , very loose and slow type instead of thump thump thump. Good subwoofers for music hits fast, tight and accurate.
I will say, if at 700+ bucks, this is really bad value. But if you buy around 400+ bucks, then you hardly get anything as loud as the Z625. It is really loud. But there is a competition in that price range. Have a look at the Edifier M3600D too. You should seriously consider this as well.
The next step up should be a Klipsch Promedia 2.1 . I think it is both loud and crisp.
