It depends on your expectations. I'm more picky type of people for music.
I think the Z625 is good for movies but not good for music.
Z625 is meant for gaming first. So explosions in shooting games sounds good and boomy.

But for music, you hardly hear those upper frequencies above 10khz and the bass is booomm, boooomm, boooom , very loose and slow type instead of thump thump thump. Good subwoofers for music hits fast, tight and accurate.

I will say, if at 700+ bucks, this is really bad value. But if you buy around 400+ bucks, then you hardly get anything as loud as the Z625. It is really loud. But there is a competition in that price range. Have a look at the Edifier M3600D too. You should seriously consider this as well.


The next step up should be a Klipsch Promedia 2.1 . I think it is both loud and crisp.

Been using this beast for the past 3 years. Movies and games and great on this. Bass is definitely overpowered. I live in a condo and Bass is always max 50% only. Good enough to make the house rumble

i stay away if bluetooth is my primary output from my devices.

i penah audition r1700bt before, aux-in sound is okay but bluetooth sound is horrible.

Buy headphones, you don't want your neighbour to shout "Diamlah CCB" at you right.

If use streaming service to play song, the bluetooth won't make much difference, quite good in my opinion.

Cannot recommend Logitech Z625, my Z623 lasted 8 years with 4-5 years of heavy use (from morning till night) the left & right satellite sound when it's turned on mid volume will ring which signifies it's death. The Z623 runs the same build as the Z625 with logo and casing change only. Currently running Edifier M3600D, cheaper than Logitech and just about the same sound quality. Not sure on durability, only time will tell~

so if wanna buy speaker just look at specs with that minimum power for gooding bass thump sound

the other two tweeters/midrange speaker should be enuff, just make sure the subwoofer is minimum punchy 20watt

This z625 speaker quality very bad. Only few months the volume knob starts to crackle sound when twisting it time. Regret of buying it. Sound is near field type and good for games only. If movies and music sucks cannot hear the vocal at all only muddy bass. Quality degrade damn fast. After few months sound also bad already. 2 unit also same problem my brother also bought same time with me. Now left junk in store room.

Bought the sibling Z623 on lazada 27/3 birthday at rm291. Rm130 discount. This speaker is definitely for basshead. Boom boom shake ur room kind of EQ.


But to b honest, edifier R1280DB/R1280DBs is way better. The edifier were my first choice. Way more balance sound compare with logi. I didnt buy bcoz my table cant fit the edifier bookshelf speaker size. Too bad.

Bcoz of the edifier bookshelf type speaker sizes too big for my table. Cant fit in between the monitor and pc case.
Im no audiophile so i cant explain properly about the clarity but checkout this youtube for some rough idea. Take note: in the video is edifier r1280T but r1280D n T is quite similar in sound EQ only that D have bluetooth n T do not.



To me from a layman point of view i feel that Edifier is more jack of all trades - movies, all types of music, games all can get good balance sound. As to Z623 is very good for movies n games, music also good just not wider range. But still can always use equalizer to balance out, so no problems.
Oh and bcoz the Z623 is about 200watts, its very capable at high volumes if u plan to use it in living room conditions. Edifiers if not mistaken is 21+21 watts.

edifier is good quality better so much. really. using edifier now, quality is day and night diff compare to the logitech. this logitech z625 speakers is tuned thx effect type which good in sound effects only. yes the bass is strong for consider its size but annoying cause some of the movies the male vocal voice also producing via the subwoofer, their low pass frequency crossover tuning is very high.
trust me if u get Z625 when u watching movies u will keep try to crank it louder as u unable to listen clear the dialogue and after when action moment time suddenly very loud, then u quickly crank the volume down. after action finish u will crank the volume up again because unable hear clear dialogue, then as soon as u middle of cranking it suddenly action comes again... LOL frust....
