Too bad I will get it around one week late after pre-order 😅 so I definitely won't be the first.

Anyway, just thought more ppl should know this phone as a proper flagship instead of 'just another bad oppo phone'. Oppo find series phone is more in line with their old strategy when they first started out with oppo find 7. Before they went 'oneplus' with all the fancy advertising and endorsement 😏

xiaomi also cannot sell well on high-end market even with the price way cheaper price than oppo.

I am very tempted to take a plunge. The micro-len is really something that I wanted so badly. Now comparing this with Z fold 2/3.
A very tough choice for me. I love the big phones.

If you have the budget for z fold 2 then I guess its a no brainer? Two different segments. But pre-order deal is pretty sweet, coupled with discount from lazada.

Well... for many the upmost importance would be on the camera department which only points to Huawei, Samsung and Apple right now. But for the price Xiaomi is offering...

Sony have good camera,but nobody buy them.

In the midst between this Oppo phone or Vivo X60 Pro.

Not general knowledge. But knowledge about phones. Oppo phones are not known for the best bang for buck. Let's say there are two group of consumers, first one being those who buy their phones by reading specs sheet. 2nd group being those who make purchase based on advertisement and celerbities endorsement.

In this case, members of this forum form the first group of buyers, while students and housewife are more likely the latter.

Not degrading 1st or 2nd group, to each their own.

nice to know there's thread for this phone. Like to buy it maybe under maxis contract since i'm using maxis now. Biggest problem is finding good case.

Las year's find x2 pro has similar problems. No cases from ringke or spigen. But the included silicone case for x3 pro is quite good.

Er...same stale design for the phone since ages ago. The camera is good, but the software is not optimized for it. Nevertheless, many smartphone brands are utilizing Sony cameras.

x3 pro preorder comes with kevlar case (& the inbox rubber case)...its not about nice quality case or not..the problem is, a design so special, but covered with other material, its a waste.....Best if can find a high quality transparent case like ringke brand (despite that it will go yellow after sometime)...

I already order transparent full body wrap from taobao. Those that wraps around the back and bezel. If you like to go naked perhaps you can buy one of these. I usually wrap these stickers alongside a high quality casing to preserve resale value.

Is This Oppo Find X3 Pro worth the price ?

I think for phone it is mostly about the os and stability. I ended up buying s21 ultra is because of future software support (OPPO might be victim of US China conflict), galaxy tag and gorilla victus (I don't use cover unless next time s pen pro out).

If I didn't buy s21 ultra I would have bought this phone. Now offer seems good,the free wireless charger is the fast one. But the wireless headset I have reservation if it is indeed good. Lazada flagship store has rm300 discount now plus lucky draw.

Samsung is giving away RM500 discount voucher despite record sales for their S21 series. It's more related to the overall spending power and pattern of consumers.

However, bad sales for this oppo is actually expected la 😅🤣

Your point is valid even though US banning oppo is highly unlikely (oppo market share in US is negligible).

But I won't consider a samsung anytime soon, the experience was just too bad,

slow charging. Had to bring my charger around all the time
overheat. Happens while using camera, video calls and gaming
extremely poor reception. One day I was playing mlbb in my car and connection was lost. End up I have to connect to hotspot from my oneplus 8 pro and everything is smooth again. Mind you, both phones are running on the same telco.

Thats why no matter how fancy the galaxies are, as long as they don't get the basics right then it's a no go for me.

I got the coupon actually but the quota and freebies finish before 31/3 lol though the coupon valid till 15/4. Fated lol. The discount on oppo quite tempted but the design and UI really not my preference , will wait for op9p

You are spot on for poor reception. Only people who used other phone types before can tell you that. But so far I use this Ultra, super stable. More stable than my Huawei P20 Pro. Over heating problem is debatable, really depends on your usage and how you fine tune it assuming nothing wrong with the hardware.

US banned XiaoMi too and XiaoMi market share in US is negligible too. It is not about market share in US, but rather about suppressing the govt aided companies that might pose to be a treat to US dominance in the tech space. Once that happens, GG to support especially Android security updates. Not sure Huawei will force its hong meng on older huawei phones, I am not surprise if one day all china made phones will adopt a so call phone OS standard by China.

And about this Hong Meng... don't even get me started. Huawei either has a deal with google or they think going live with it (especially if it turns out to be successful) will not have any repercussions.

No comments on hongmeng os, since it hasn't even been launched. However, the ban on xiaomi and huawei are two different things really. It doesn't affect xiaomi supply chain and accessibility to google services. What I was saying is, other factors aside, oppo close to zero assistance market presence in the US is a good enough reason to justify if the US will somehow ban Oppo, not including other factors that causes huawei to be banned.

Tested the phone at gardens . Everything feels normal. Nothing spectacular. The microscope camera is pretty good though. But it needs to touch the surface of whatever u taking.

Other than that nothing great

This phone doesn't have great battery life to begin with. But from most of the review it is still on par with the S21 ultra. Give it a few days to learn your usage pattern and the results should improve

I'm getting my unit tomorrow, let's see how it is. These days flagships never have excellent battery life, at least from the phones I have tested. High refresh rate, high resolution and high end processor all play a part. More important to me is how fast I can top up my phone during the day.

Tested the phone just now, buttery smooth but the lack of periscope zoom is a deal breaker. Microscope a bit hard to use, it's like have to touch the subject so no thick cases I guess.
