Hey as the title says, anyone could give information on which server will have active Malaysian guild(s)?

Yesterday out of curiosity I wanted to test this game, and managed to get the trial version. I may or may not play seriously, but at least if I want to play for awhile I wanted to progress in a server that I may join other people. Currently in Aether (NA) - Midgardsormr, but it's only a level 5.
Second question, at which server level I could meet each others? It has three level (like NA-Aether-Midgardsormr) as I saw. Is the player base unique at the lowest level, or I could still meet each other if we're all in NA for example?
Lastly, is there any other community social media that I could join, like Facebook or Discord? Found few FB links in this forum but they are all dead (or closed).

Dude you're playing at NA server? The ping must be high, come join us at elemental data server, we're on the tonberry world

I've join a fc named Cosmology, a lot of sea player(4-5malaysian i think) but there's also nz, aus and us people

Noted, will start a new char there. Currently playing as marauder but let me try other class on that server. Is it correct you can switch to any class by switching weapon? Means it's not an issue if I just choose any class as starter right?

Ya, I'm a newbie myself, but from all of the FAQs I have read, you can change to all class type just by changing weapons.

and race that you pick barely gave any stats advantage to the role that you wanted to main (unlike other MMO)

No problem, you can change class anytime, but it's best to focus on 1/2 jobs. Btw just inbox me if you need help if msq raid etc

Guilds in FFXIV are called Free Companies, or FC for short.

I played Lalafell, and every now and then, veteran player of the same race reach out to me and give free gils lol I dunno why.

Thanks, currently i havent bought the game yet, still at level 30 and branching to do other gathering/crafting class quests. I think I cannot add anyone as yet due to the limitation of my account. Dont even have access to Lodestone.

A tips from fellow beginner. Maybe dont buy first if you want to enjoy free subscription. I just bought it and realized now I'm on 30 days subscription, instead of free flow playing until level 60.

I am still playing. Playing very slow, doing all side quests too. My main DoW and all DoH and DoL all maxed at 60 now (i only bought base game) but my MSQ is still at level 51 lol. Got sidetracked a lot and I enjoy it. This is me

Hey guys, I got bored of WoW (because my in-game friends got too busy with life) and would like to try out FF XIV. May I ask if the community on this game is still lively? And which server has the most active Msians?

Heard a lot of good things about this game but the community is just as important to me.

The community is VERY lively. But not much in the forum, mostly active in FB group.
Most Malaysian play in Japanese Data Center. (Elemental, Gaia, Mana)
Elemental has the most English speaking community and most Malaysian is there.
Under each DC, there are worlds, worlds within the same DC can visit each other and form party and raids together.
Just that you can only join the Free Company(guild) in your world only.

Rank by most Malaysian/English speakers in Elemental.

Hello, first time im playing this and i wish to purchase this game.

how do i purchase it when you are from Malaysia? because on steam it doesnt have ff14 base game, only the free trial.

Currently playing it on the free trial version of steam. So would like any kind soul to give step-by-step guide on how to purchase this game. Currently playing on the Elemental server, and after seeing the other post. Thank God i choose the right one. but the tonberry sometime full.

I bought it direct from US store. And better you start the full game in Square Enix's own launcher than Steam, which has no support for our region. You might use VPN but I do not think it's desirable. Try buying from Mog Station:

I think the suggestion is log in to Tonberry at 3-4AM and try to create a character.

ya I wasn't sure if that unavailable would turn available or it's really packed now
and I also wasn't trying late enough that day

tonberry is too pack, ur queu to login will be high also,

better to just go kujata or any other elemental servers, then world visit into tonberry to find groups, thou you cannot join FC from other servers.

Playing in Cubicle (Element Server) on free trial.. chilling till august.. got a good sales of discount.

If you're just trying, might as well create a character in Carbuncle or Gungnir to take advantage of the exp buff. As long as you're choosing servers in Elemental DC, you can party up with with members of the same DC.

But otherwise, if you're set on making one in Tonberry, wake up early and try to create one.

After trying until falling asleep with Tonberry. Gonna settle with Kujata.

You need to use uk ip adresss then it'll work. Either use proxy or better yet amazon ec2 (need to change location to uk) .

May i ask what is the procedure to buy the game if future need?

I'm not sure about pc but if you're playing on ps4 however, just create an eu psn account. Then top up your wallet by buying psn game card (uk) from third party stores like seagm. Then its as easy as open up the psn store and buy the game from there.

I'm on PC. Basically just credit card and then buy subscription from mogstation. I got from US store and was having no hassle. No VPN or whatever. The only hassle was to find where to actually pay LOL. Oh sometimes they asked for US address and I just entered bullshit info, does not really matters. As long as you get activation code will be fine.

Mate go to their FB page https://www.facebook.com/groups/FFXIVSEAOCEANIC/ . If you go there full of Malaysians actually despite the title is for Oceania/SEA. Sometimes they even just posted in Malay. I don't know why we dominated the page. Even in Tonberry occasionally I will bump into Malay speaking guys (based on username or chat), we definitely has significant presence despite not officially being supported by Square Enix.

I was stuck in a Phil Free Company, they invited me when I just about to finish 2.0 content. They are nice people, so for the time being I am staying there.

Anyone would like to join a free company in Tonberry do PM me. We are people mainly from MY, SG and AU. We do have buff activated everyday and friendly players that are willing to help.

Try around 4-8am. You only need to wake up, turn on PC, load FF14 and make character then go back to sleep once.

Make sure you get a template of your character ready before registering.
