i wanted to install awning for my 2 storey house (strata unit) and was told by my management office that i need to get mpkj approval.

I purchased the application form and i found that i need a drawing plan.

Can i just draw it myself or i must get a qualified person to do it? how much is the cost if i get a quailified person to do it?

Awning is considered a temporary structure. Are you sure you need the drawing and authority approval? You should verify with your management again.

You can buy standard plan (pelan setara) from the majlis, usually in the range of around rm100-rm200?. Otherwise you have to get an architect or draughtsman to draw you the plan which will be more expensive compared to pelan setara and their rate usually the same whether it will be whole renovation including extension or just the awning..

Depends on which city council.. some no need to to submit any plans, while some councils need plan & permit and most of the time they are selling standard plan which will be auto approved with the permit application
