RM 3000++ i better buy HTC.....look like iphone.

Hmmm... but then, if HTC is also RM3000++, then it's better buy Nokia N95 8GB lor! I checked the specs, it's better than the latest HTC Dual that is also about to be launched. I would rather buy the better specs phone if they are both about the same price. icon_rolleyes.gif nod.gif
See below, apart from the touchscreen, Nokia N95 8GB has more specs than HTC Dual Touch. Especially on camera, screen size, display resolutions, GPS, Wi-Fi etc hmm.gif

cry.gif RM3K+.....Too expensive...

Where Nokia Store did u ask??KL area?
*
Sigh. That's the thing I don't like in Malaysia. They always want to bundle the phone with so called extra stuff to sell at higher price. Why dont they make it simple and just sell the phone? Like the current N95 also, when they launch give extra battery all and sell at RM3599!!! sad.gif Some more our tax is also killing us! In singapore already selling at RM2600 liow... worst come to worst just get the phone there. Downside is it will be AP set... but then AP set also I don't think will get that cheap here.

But then I asked long time ago, the nokia sales ppl always said more than 3K lar. I think since we still need to wait, just see la how much it sells later. I think if the price is RM500 more expensive than Singapore, worth to go there buy. Cost to go there for day trip, take bus etc will be like RM150 only. Eeiiii faster la come out... at least can know the price and decide what to do next liow. mad.gif

But I still love the phone blush.gif

wut u ask actually? sorry not following much this thread..

i click few page back and saw ur post... well the launch pack is not standard.. depends on what the store want to take.. if the nokia authorised centre prefer standard package, then they will only sell standard one...they can order launch pack and they can sell wutever price they want

the launch pakage is a "customised" package, you see, what u can do is ask the store in ur place to call nokia malaysia to order the lauch package..

zitron, samart, csl is just distributor, we give them what they order... so far only zitron interested on the launch package...how many i dunno

the launch package is intended for customer to buy on the spot during(sell directly by nokia malaysia@ 3499) official launch at launch venue.. so far one u is the 1st place to launch at 5 nov...

so after 5 nov.. if u buy from store, u will see the standard package, no freebies (but include 2nd battery), but still at same price 3499

hope my lousy explnation can help

understand bo?

Added on October 26, 2007, 10:49 amthe price is agreed at 3499 by all distro... so u can bargain la if u skillful enuff

the reason for drastic price drop after few weeks is cause they still make profit cause the price they got from nokia is definetely lower than 3k(i not telling wut price)..

so 3499 at lauch date is for sucker enthusiast only...

so you see, the price is not we decide, is what the distro decide...

Added on October 26, 2007, 10:51 amjust one p&c info, u can get it at rm2200, if u buy 1000 unit la  LOL
*
Hmm... logic explanation. Nokia must standardised the price based on the EUR560 (exc TAX etc). BUT, the distributor can mark up the price and throw so called freebies and also force to buy the second battery. Ceh. blink.gif

First I thot the second battery is good, but then that means u have to always take out the cover put in battery in and out all the times. It's not a very practical thing to do for a phone, the cover will loose sooner than those who never take the battery out. The first Nokia N95 got this problem with the flimsy cover, the N95 8GB review said the cover is better, but it is still plastic, the more u play with it at the end cannot use already. And that second battery is not free hahaha, u actually pay for it liow. tongue.gif

New review at allaboutsymbian.com: Nokia N95 8GB Full Review the new battery is more than enough especially now they have demand paging in the phone. It speed up thing and eventually save power. This make me feel we no need 2nd battery leh. I mean, use first then later decide because still not enough power for u, oklah. Because if enough ah, like waste of money wor sad.gif

Sigh. I decide already. I gonna wait for the launch here see really how much. If too expensive than Singapore, go buy there lor. If in Singapore sell like RM3200 and here RM3499, I still can accept and buy here.. but now it seems like different of RM900!! I can get Nokia bluetooth keyboard + Nokia bluetooth music headset I think!!! doh.gif

I still love the phone and will get it, now just the matter of where only lar like this! nod.gif

YEP. 2 days ago already start. Cheap ah. Now I see SGD1175, from www.whymobile.com.
Dunno worth to but ori set from Malaysia or not la but then I also never buy AP, so quite scared also biggrin.gif If buy from Singapore, considered AP in Malaysia, but then if you buy from Authorised Dealer in Singapore, at least in your hard you know it's new and ori lah biggrin.gif

Worst come to worst and if cannot tahan already, just have to buy here la. unsure.gif

Should be. From the review lar. Not sure its true or not.
*
Yeah, from the review it seemed very good. Also the guy said no matter how many applications he opened, the RAM seemed to be enough, not like the current N95 where the phone keep on showing error message or close programs cos not enough RAM to run. So in terms of RAM obviously better than the current one. brows.gif

Also on the battery, if I am not mistaken dont have to charge everyday also. But of course depends on how u use la I think. The extra battery of course doesnt hurt smile.gif just that I hate la like pay extra for the battery, not like the battery is free or what cos the standard package in other countries where got extra battery. One more thing I hate, extra battery to charge is ma fan lor. Have to take out the battery cover all, unless u have desktop charges, then that one easy u always have extra battery just incase. For me battery not important because you can just charge at the office etc. Charger also very light one... for me better have extra charger (put at the office one, if too lazy to bring charger all the times)... or the car charger.

I went to Nokia Concept store at the Garden today. Haiya.. so stupid also. They dont know liow when exactly. I told him rumour said 5th Nov launch also dont know anything. Can ah like that? Not even the price.. cannot even give estimated how much. My friend told me, stuck in Sirim usually because of they play-play first, then ask give la 10 units or what... then can approve. Normal la corrupted all... give few units for them to give family, gf all, then faster la approve. Ceh.

I really want to get the one in Singapore la. But me also no experience buy in Singapore... I still can accept buy in Singapore come back here AP, as long as when I buy in Singapore it is ori mah... anyone know the exact price in Nokia store in Singapore ah?? How much? hmm.gif

Check the dummy set, haih... so nice ah, tak tahan already, hahah! drool.gif

Oh by the way, the guy in Nokia Store said, N81 8GB confirm come out next week. But me dont want N81 8GB sad.gif camera only 2MP. Small screen also. Somemore me working already, hehe.. old also.. I think N81 8GB so nice la for young teenager.... biggrin.gif more like game phone right? But cute la I saw.

*
Buy in Singapore lah. biggrin.gif Anyway, even for Singapore, the price is about the same when the first N95 was launched there.
So, if we follow that, the price of N95 8GB here is likely to be around RM3499 since the first N95 when it was launched was about the same price.

I still hope it will NOT be that much, hehe. But as SimonsayZ said, it's a waiting game!

Nokia N95 8GB: The microSD slot is gone, replaced by a fixed 8GB flash disk mounted internally. The Nokia Concept Store at The Garden also has the dummy set. These sales ppl usually doesn't know about the phones their selling. U better read or ask sifus in forums for better understanding of the phones than ask the salesmen. Hahahahaha.

IMHO, if I want to get AP set from Spore, I would rather have the one authorised in Singapore at least.
If I just want AP set don't care from where, no need to get from Singapore, our local phone seller also can get for you (from UK etc).

It's worth to go to Singapore for a cheaper authorised set, because even if it's broken, not so bad to send back to Singapore.
But to go Singapore to get Singapore AP set, might as well buy from here lor. In garagesales already ppl selling what smile.gif

I was wondering, if you buy from SG. Can you still bring i to Nokia centre for repair?

You can send to Nokia center in Singapore. You can send it in Malaysia too but it wont be under warranty lor. If rosak after finished the warranty, then can send here only lar.

QUOTE(SimonsayZ @ Nov 1 2007, 02:03 PM)
Yes Singapore does have AP sets with warranty provided by other companies, not only official ones. They don't call it AP, maybe more like 2nd or 3rd tier warranty. No exactly sure what they call it though.
*
Yeah true. They company offer warranty like our local phone seller here la, but maybe bit longer than what we have.
They dont call AP if the phone is not distributed by the authorised singapore dealer. From what I know they call it LOCAL or IMPORT set.
LOCAL set is the original authorised set and cost more than the IMPORT set. The warranty come from the phone manufacturer/authorised service center in Singapore.
IMPORT set is those they get from overseas, like buy bulk from UK, Europe, US etc. Same like our AP lor. Usually this one still got guarantee but then by the company who sells it. The price is also cheaper than LOCAL set.
