who said legend offer at 4700++? u say jj can giv u 4749 rite?i believe u oso can get this price(4700) + 2yrs warranty + foc hdmi too from legend too....dont u believe? believe it! it is the way how u negotiate wif them....1 thing u must kno jasjas..watever ppl offer u at outside...legend can giv u better price...

potential of burn mark is not a big issue for having the LCD market bigger la boss, in fact there are many reasons which make all the branded to cancel their OEM (origin electronic manuf's) from either NEC @ Pioneer (since they merged) or panasonic as they are main players for plasma. Of course some was getting it from korea OEM as well...
One main problem is the costing as manufacturing a plasma is greater expensive than lcd especially full hd panel and main reason of last time plasma almost went into obsoleted list as those main player failed to come out with full hd panel while LCD was running wild with the full hd panel back to 2 years ago.

Potential burn in image is not so easy happen unless u let ur plasma tv on with still image for more than 12 hours.....most probably referring to those careless people who forget to off their plasma after turning off their astro decorder, but LCD aint doing good with thier dynamic contrast as well which aware by alot of branded, one of the newest research in Japan uni has proven that the plasma is more gentle to the eye comparing to LCD
(eye friendly)  I cant stop laughing when LG put up the slogan "eye loves plasma" after the result of the research was announced.....

well most of all the 42" plasma at 1024 x 768 can indeed upscales or emulates the image quality to full hd if it detect a full hd source... of course the quality will be different than the full hd panel when it comes to colour density and resolution (u ll see dotted in hd ready panel)
agree in the world top selling plasma is still pioneer and second panasonic but still depends on your budget (pioneer or NEC is the founder of plasma TV while panasonic is the founder of plasma panel so both have their strong profile for plasma product)  - and also pro and con for having a single layer of gas comparing to 2-3 layers, there is review on it and i cant remember why, will post if i come across again....and i dont think that make it so big difference as you dont stick your eyeball to the screen.....afterall the different will be in term of colour that the pioneer offers more realistic black and primary colour comparing to other brands. Of course they are having the highest contrast ratio at the moment for plasma tv (20,000:1 and i m not sure it is either dynamic or native contrast), that's make them the best for this time being....

why majority are getting LCD instead of plasma?
plasma looks better for astro than lcd rite?

Again...Panasonic is one of the best...but as always, some might get the Sharp or others instead.

But the again, why get 32'? Its small....since you are going to push in all the way to the wall, you'll be sacrificing alot of viewing pleasure....

of so many Plasma/LCD tv in the market ... I still prefer Pioneer Plasma TV ... the best choice

if you can afford Ferrari, go ahead. I only can afford Pioneer Plasma TV, so I save my savings and got one.

my home theatre system might not be attractive ... but all Pioneer series ... that's all I can afford so far.

Update : Latest ad in newspaper, Courts selling Sharp 32AX5M for RM 2599.00!!!!
