aiks...i told u ord..it is depends how u negotiate wif them..u said u kno how their market cost price for 429v70?then tell me lo... whistling.gif  whistling.gif  nobody will kno the cost price unless u work in one of those electronic shop..haha..for sure..i kno how much le..honest.Legend wont offer 4700?u sure?haha...my fren get lower than 4.7...if u rly buy from them..i sureu  can get bargain price..of coz if u juz ask syok syok..price is higher le... >.<
jasjas...vyzc asking u the cost price of toshiba..fast fast tell him le IF u rly kno the market price tongue.gif y din reply his msg?speechless rite?

Like i mentioned, the price will be dropped again, check one of the thread by ewarehouse.com in garage sales from rm 4899 on JAN to 4599 on this month for 42pv70 (so since they sell rm 4899 which other big outlet can offers rm4800 in roadshow for last month, and the price dropped on this month, other oultet will do it after CNY)

And do i hav to reveal the market cost price especially from certain branded, this will be company P & C, u should know that rules as u r working in this line as well, why would u ask me again? but i can compare and suggest to u anywhere u can get ur t.v, just trying to be helpful but not hoping bashing in return and of course i told u that legend can offer u rm4700 on JAN with cash price and in fact they can offer u below 4700 by the day after CNY, aiks the price is dropping every months so pls dont compare to the most recents......

Afterall there is pro and con, like i got my 42pv70 at rm4599 with one time cc swapping + warranty from 3 months ago from Jusco when the market cost was standing at rm4600++ -rm 4800 depending on the dealer at that time (from dec to jan ONLY), nobody will offer u below market cost pricing because nobody will do something that earns nothing, unless you are d*mn close with the boss so u can demand them for their cost price (alot different when it comes to market cost price and their cost price)

Normally any shop or outlet once you ask for cash price, all the additionally warranty and cc swapping or ect. will be stripped off, pro and con, paying additional RM 50-200 or same price which u can get additional warranty (of course reliable one like best denki or harvey) and credit card swapping for one time or installment can be useful, dont expected to bring a bunch of cash out especially u r buying a tv more than 10k even it is not safe to bring out 2-3k out, pray hard u wont get robbed (sorry if this sounds offensive because i have customer who got robbed when they brought their cash to some outlet to purchase their tv, u can blame anything on them in here for being idiotic or stupid but it is non of my problem as i just pity them only )

And what i m comparing now i can get my tv at the same price with legend in certain roadshow with additional warranty and card swapping, of course TS has the right the stick with their preferably dealer, i just share my experiences with TS as i do work in certain branded in vareity of outlets and dealers for some years and i m not here for arguement, spending my time being pawn3d and flaming/gangbanging and i dont earn a single cent to recommend u any outlet that offering that price... it just my 2 cent

for electronic stuff, i must admit i do read most of the thing but dont expected me to be so pro to remember all the thing, and thanks for the reminding me of the OEM, if what i wrote in the past was confusing, do point out and i would like to explain in more briefly - which i might have to do additonal revision plus with pasting the up the link b4 answering especially to some ppl, and if u find it is hard to understand, so be it when u come across with the sales person at outside, fulls of lies and confusing statments, good luck....

be franky and my apologize as i missed out some of the thread which u pointed, yes vyzc, about the toshiba price but i do not remember the lowest price for this moment but i do know it was below the market cost especially during the roadshow by HSL in mid valley on 2 weeks ago, any luck i ll check with my toshi friend if i come across them, dont force me to check as i m not pay to do so...i am updated with the pricing especially when comes to some sizes and tv which i planned to purchased or happened to checked by my friend/customers but do not expected me to remember all,my brain aint that good yet, thank you...

OMG, that's was my writing, didnt know that my gf login this forum using her account, *SIGH*

FYI, read more OEM at here http://www.plasma.com/classroom/whomakesplasma.htm

EDIT : kinda of outdated for this year, but it is worth for reading...

and vyzn, do not ask for market cost price as no one is allowed to reveal them, adrian0229 since u say it so shoik, mind to reveal the pricing ar as u work in this line as well? Maybe it is good for u to provide the TS full list of market cost and costing price for their benefit....

and what i can do is to offer a help to check whether it is suit to the price u r paying for....

Aiyoyoyo...cool down fellas. No need to get angry and worked up over small things like that. I don't think any sellers would want the customers to know the base price mah right? So chill, everybody shake each toehr's hand mah, CNY coming mah.

Anyway, anyone can recommend me nice 32inch LCD tv? I am really a noob. Some ppl say 100hz LCDs is good, some ppl say no need. I've went thru plenty of large shops selling LCDs like Harvey Norman and Best Denki, but they all just show DVDs and not Astro...haihs.

Is Toshiba Regza 32WL68E a good purchase too ( I'm not really that good in electrical items, like everyone else, I always think Sony is the best. Stupid me, looks like for the top end LCD / Plasma, it's always Pioneer and Sharp. )?

What about Sharp Aquos LC32A53M, and LC32BX5M?

Like others, I use for all : Astro, DVD / CD and gaming ( now PS2, later go PS3....GT5 is coming mah!!!!! ).

Fellas, is the LG 32LC7R a nice LCD tv to buy? It'll be my 1st LCD tv purchase. I might buy the PS3 at the same time as well ( latest Gran Turismo coming soon mah! ), so will this LCD tv work well for PS3? What about local tv? I saw the ad here : eWarehouse LG 32LC7R advertisement. The pricing is extremely attractive!

I need to buy really good HDMI cables, and other cables to connect Astro set to TV too right? Any good brands to consider? And where is this Legend SS2 shop you guys are talking about? Must be hell of a big electrical shop eh?

astro : plasma for good choice but if 32" plasma, i wouldnt recommend for 32" plasma as it's panel only SD standard (aint HD) so since u r getting 32" it would not be so obvious to see the different when it comes to astro and since u are going gaming for ps3 especially GT5, to avoid any problem with time response or blur image, i would recommend u any lcd with 100hz, mostly Sharp Aquos since they are the cheapest for 100hz of all brand
(i did read that they were one of the bunch of the 100hz lcd founder, maybe that's one of the reason -correct me if i m wrong because i m not sure)

edit :

but still 32" is still way to sense all the problems, unless u plan for 37" and above, it will be more obvious - so depends on your budget, toshiba is good when it comes to the colour, more natural and less colour glaring comparing to samsung/philip/etc - good for your eye especially if u r a hardcore gamer, and apparently both sharp and toshi comes with additional warranty and risk insurance as their promotion, and a free s-video+audio cable from toshi which u can find inside their box.....

so the choice is urs and good luck

So is the Sharp LC32A53M a good purchase for me then? I don't know the actual contrast ratio, and response time for this LCD. Do I really have to spring out for a 100hz LCD to get the best out of the LCD when watching auto racing ( Like MotoGP, WTCC and F1 @ Astro ) and playing games like GT? Does the Sharp LC32BX5M offers 100hz too, but what about the actual contrast and response time?

What about LG 32LC7R, Sharp Aquos LC32A53M, and LC32BX5M, and Toshiba Regza 32A3500E?

Anyone else can chime in?

If you want to check out difference between the Sharp models, you're in luck. smile.gif Went to Midvalley Harvey at lower ground floor and they use blu-ray player to play same BD video on three different Sharp lcds models (via HDMI video splitter). They've got 100Mhz lah vs hd ready vs full hd.

u might want to try to have on sharp or toshiba,(wont rcommend u LG tough, the black colour quite sux ) of course 32" wont be so obvious when comes to astro and time repsonse like i mentioned - unless u want something new and sensitive with the small blurry thingy, then u might want to try with the 32' 100 hz sharp model or the panny 32' 100hz.

response time of 5 to 7 ms do not make a big different till u compared with the 100 hz model and of course the contrast ratio for 32" LCD is kind standard as you might find a 1:7000 "dynamic" contrast from different branded might not look the same in term of effect/sharpness depending on the brand's profile how they tuned up thier contrast level (a real/native contrast for a LCD is less than 1 : 3000, and i will suggest u to do more reading on it as i cant really explain much to u in here as to avoid "bombardment from the experts" b4 you got conned by some salesmen who use the contrast ratio as their selling point. I came across a few bull sh*tters with shallow knowledge in harvey norman mid valley, so becareful and good luck )

LOL then u will have a bigger problem and regret when u purchased the LCD then, u might have to stick back with crt -

Since u mentioned monster cable, most probably u purchased from harvey norman, but which outlet u have purchased from, u might wan to get some help from someone may concern? And afterall have u done any setting and colour adjustment, for ur most watchable and favor of all time channel in astro? And remember to off all the Mpeg-NR or something to do with NR stuff (NR = noise reduction)

edit : ur colleague is from which outlet? then should be cheaper after CNY or he already started to follow the new scheme by panny sales side.....

Actually, if you guys are thinking of getting your LCD TVs, go get it from the lesser-known shops. You get the same goods (not display units mind you) as with anywhere else. The RRP of these TVs in the larger electronics outlets are just too outrageous.

I got this from the Best HDMI DVD Player, page 99 :

QUOTE(KCv3 @ Jan 22 2008, 11:52 PM )
I heard that A53M is really good on Astro compare to the rest. But when on DVD & Blu-Ray, I discovered this model is really bad in terms of PQ and colour. Watching it side by side with others like Philip 9432, Sony D300 and Panny 700MK, these 3 models are great . My personal view is that the Sony model is the most well balanced when comes to PQ and colour. Some say it look cartoon, not sure what it means tho. Now contemplating whether to change since my initial thought was A53M. Will be using it mostly on DVD and console games. Any of you guys got any inputs or comparisons on these models?

Don't tell me what he says is true ( that the A53M series from Sharp, the LC32A53M is in my list, not nice enough for DVDs and Blu Ray )?

i think go to shop and look for yourself is better. like me been looking every shop for about a month and finally decide that all panels looks the same to me and settle on the Sony 32S310A which is on promotion.
