For SGD FD, CIMB Malaysia interest rate is 3.7% for 2, 3 or 4 months. CMB SG 3.55% for 6 months
*
3.7% is referring to CIMB MY interest?

I was just trying to install StashAway SG but it seems to open up my MY account since it's the same app. Not possible to have both?

Edited: Just saw post 964 has partial answer (need to switch the region) but how about the ability to have both MY and SG account being active at the same time since i need to switch the region?

just need to switch region to singapore and register all over again (with your passport). give them your malaysian statements (bank accts, utility bill etc) as proof of malaysian residence

you'll need to get yourself a sg bank account separately also, which you probably already have by now

Can we use WISE to open a Singapore bank acc?

Probably the following:
1. Do i need this cash for emergency? If yes, then don't.
2. How easy is it to transfer money to SG Bank and back(eventually one day, you might want to transfer some back).
3. Will i be taxed when i taking the money back?
4. What is the exchange rate spread going there and coming back?
5. Need to know all the HOWs to do it as well. The exact method to do it.
6. If sum too large, might trigger BNM. Do you need to move in smaller batch amount?

These are some of the things you probably need to think of.

==Misc==
Planning to send some SGD soon. Just checked CIMB rates here.

CIMB Transfer RM to SGD Live rates
It seems to be better than WISE. But not sure if the figure in this CIMB page is final rates.

Thanks Hansel.

But the FD foreign currency accounts that I want to open are with banks in Malaysia eg CIMB, RHB. No need to pay tax on interest?

No need.
