Of course you can but is silly to bring money back to Malaysia. One stuff I practice is one way ticket money and only bring it back if really needed. Or else, I won't bring back at all.

Can, otherwise it makes no sense to have USD account via JPMorgan from Wise. I've tried it, no problems. I don't use Wise to hold currency anymore as there is a bank card that allows me to hold unlimited foreign funds and acts like Wise.

What bank card??? Basically, my transfer is basically one way to SGD, USD. But if needed, I would like the option to return the money on standby.

Can. Just not direct to your Wise MYR account, receive from SG to your Wise SG account, then transfer however you wish..

Wise foreign currency account is more to receive money from other countries' local bank transfers, e.g. SG local transfer to your Wise SG account, which I don't think your MY bank card allows, does it?

I am not using MY bank in particular. It is not restricted, exactly like Wise; without receiving fees/transfer fees and unlimited funds and able to transfer everywhere.

You can try rhb multi currency debit card or HSBC multi currency debit card.

Those accounts/cards doesn't allow you to *receive* local fund transfers from other countries, do they? e.g. I open this in Malaysia but someone in SG sends me SGD via FAST transfer to me using this account.

Yes, if you are looking for SGD debit card/saving account, can try Maybank SG iSavvy account which can be opened from Malaysia. The downside is you need to park 500 SGD inside (to avoid 2 SGD fall below fees), pretty much a tied-up capital. The iSavvy account will be able to accept FAST transfers in and out just like most SG bank accounts.

If you only need a bank account without debit card, CIMB SG Fastsaver will do the job, no minimum capital tie-up. The onshore SGD FD rates are also better than Maybank SG, but usually requires minimum of 10k SGD for each placement.

Aiks....Kanasai, placed one a few weeks back.

Found out that SGD 3mth 4.1 at Alliance Bank. Much better than Singapore bank. DBS remit could be free.
TT out from Alliance Bank only RM7.5. Good place to part SGD for short term.

Alliance is backed by Temasek (they own 30%), so some "plus point".

But offshore euro-SGD FD are riskier. No deposit insurance protection. SGD not in SG means it's always subject to BNM's regulations.

And lastly counterparty risk. Alliance bank is no DBS, UOB or OCBC.

Factor in 1% p.a. for all these risks, 3.1% for 3 months is about the same as onshore SGD FDs.

So, uhmm... I am "indifferent" to this deal.
