in yr previous experience with banggood, will they have furthur discount on this Mi2pro projector next month? especially for 11.11?
*
I don't think so. Can you find any shop selling lower than $549? BTW, all existing stock were sold out. I believe new stock will be pricier. The next coupon is $599 - last until end of Nov.

Hi all, new to projectors for home cinema, how to setup projectors to speakers and sound bar?
*
What is your projector audio output? And your speaker or soundbar model?

I don't have any projector now, but I have a Sony sound bar and subwoofer. Wanna do some research before commit a projector

2.1ch Soundbar with Wi-Fi/Bluetooth® technology

Noted.

The cheapest solution - all players connect to your Soundbar through HDMI. You can pick any 'dumb' projector with HDMI input.

If you want to use Android TV projector, make sure it has optical out or HDMI ARC to enjoy 5.1 surround sound.

I am seeing Mi Projector Pro2 global version has the same processor T972-H. Is that an upgrade in the recent global version? https://www.mi.com/global/product/mi-smart-projector-2/
*
Mi Smart Projector 2 Pro is using Amlogic T962X-H. Same as Mi Smart Compact Projector. Confirmed by global version owner. The photo on the product page is wrong. Wording is correct.
So Mi Smart Projector 2 should be using the same T962X-H. Easier for Xiaomi to get certified Netflix. Forget about this model. It is using 0.23" DMD. Even worst than version 1.

Thanks for the reply. I quickly edited the post when I realized that wrong info. But you are faster than me.

So in short, Chinese version with Mi Stick combo would be the best choice?
*
Hehe...

I am using Chromecast with Google TV with it. Faster than Mi TV Stick. For video playback, they are the same.

I thought so too. I'm asking because I read somewhere saying like Lumos auro is a short throw protector. And then I saw you explained that Lumos is actually same as some other brand/ model. But maybe I'm mistaken

And since I saw your review on wanbo T2 max, I was thinking maybe T2 free is good enough since I already have Xiaomi stick. All the specs pretty much the same except for not having the old Android 6 in the protector.

What's you opinion about T2 free?

Thank you so much for all your sharing and review.
*
Wow... LUMOS really marketed AURO as short throw projector with 1.35:1. Then my Mijia 2 Pro with 1.1:1 is UST. sweat.gif

T2 free is native 480p only with even low brightness. Don't think about it. Always look carefully for NATIVE resolution. Not compatible / supported resolution.

Thank you for your feedback. I guess with the budget, I may go as per your advise above on wanbo x1. However I noticed lots of offer come with a stand that looks like only work for T2 MAX model. What will this stand be sturdy enough to hold wanbo x1

[attachmentid=11019996]

You are most welcome. X1 is a lightweight projector. They are using the same stand for X1 in their product page - http://en.szwanbo.cn/product.asp?cid=172

I'm looking to get the Wanbo x1 too. Saw and took this table from Taobao seller. English wording from Google translate.

Just want to ask, x1 only support up and down keystone correction and x1 pro(android) supports up,down, left, right keystone correction. Is this correct? If i get x1, does that mean i have to place the projector right in the middle and cannot place it at the side?

Noob here, 1st time buying projector for bedroom use.
*
Correct. Direct projection gives the best image quality. Try not to use keystone correction if possible.

And T2 max has no keystone corrector at all right? But will it work if projecting from side?
*
It has. But video playback not smooth once enabled. doh.gif

Based on the Excel, which info that state if we want 80 inch protection, the projector need to be how many metres away from the wall? Can this be calculated using which info?
*
You need to get projector throw ratio first. Then google for projection calculation online.

Is the throw ratio mentioned in the product specification? I have been googling but I saw contrast ratio like 2000:1

Is below confirm
1.2 metres = 40inch
3 metres = 120 inch

[attachmentid=11020929]

No mention. And it does not mean that.

Based on your test, how far the projection distance for you to achieve 80-120? I saw in your YouTube showing 120 inch

Thank you
*
As I mentioned, this depends on each projector throw ratio. Some need 3m, some need only 2.5m and so on.

Thank you, this what I watched from you video review. In my case, I will only have around 2.4m distance between the projector and the wall. Would it possible to get at least 80inch size screen with that distance.

So sorry for all the trouble, but this is obviously my first time purchasing
