None of them. Short throw projector won't be 'budget'.  blush.gif

I thought so too. I'm asking because I read somewhere saying like Lumos auro is a short throw protector. And then I saw you explained that Lumos is actually same as some other brand/ model. But maybe I'm mistaken

And since I saw your review on wanbo T2 max, I was thinking maybe T2 free is good enough since I already have Xiaomi stick. All the specs pretty much the same except for not having the old Android 6 in the protector.

What's you opinion about T2 free?

Thank you so much for all your sharing and review.

Wow... LUMOS really marketed AURO as short throw projector with 1.35:1. Then my Mijia 2 Pro with 1.1:1 is UST. sweat.gif

T2 free is native 480p only with even low brightness. Don't think about it. Always look carefully for NATIVE resolution. Not compatible / supported resolution.

Wanbo X1 (Shopee) and Mi TV Stick (Shopee) is the best combo at this price range. Don't buy budget projector with built-in Android. They are not worth it.

Thank you for your feedback. I guess with the budget, I may go as per your advise above on wanbo x1. However I noticed lots of offer come with a stand that looks like only work for T2 MAX model. What will this stand be sturdy enough to hold wanbo x1

You are most welcome. X1 is a lightweight projector. They are using the same stand for X1 in their product page - http://en.szwanbo.cn/product.asp?cid=172

I'm looking to get the Wanbo x1 too. Saw and took this table from Taobao seller. English wording from Google translate.

Just want to ask, x1 only support up and down keystone correction and x1 pro(android) supports up,down, left, right keystone correction. Is this correct? If i get x1, does that mean i have to place the projector right in the middle and cannot place it at the side?

Noob here, 1st time buying projector for bedroom use.

Correct. Direct projection gives the best image quality. Try not to use keystone correction if possible.

And T2 max has no keystone corrector at all right? But will it work if projecting from side?

You need to get projector throw ratio first. Then google for projection calculation online.

Is the throw ratio mentioned in the product specification? I have been googling but I saw contrast ratio like 2000:1

Is below confirm
1.2 metres = 40inch
3 metres = 120 inch

Based on your test, how far the projection distance for you to achieve 80-120? I saw in your YouTube showing 120 inch

Thank you

As I mentioned, this depends on each projector throw ratio. Some need 3m, some need only 2.5m and so on.

So sorry, I may not provide clear question, since I am planning to purchase Wanbo X1 as mentioned earlier, what would be the distance then for good 80-120 inch projection output

Thank you, this what I watched from you video review. In my case, I will only have around 2.4m distance between the projector and the wall. Would it possible to get at least 80inch size screen with that distance.

So sorry for all the trouble, but this is obviously my first time purchasing
