the short answer is : It actually depends on your mthly electricity consumption, if ur mthly TNB bill is below RM120 then its confirm not worth it!
Did some calculations few yrs back..... they keep saying set up cost going down bla bla bla.... its still hovering 30K to 50K (pls also include maintenance yah)

IMHO, how many household in malaysia will use electricity until RM500 to RM800 per mth? lol.... if ur using this much electricity then faster go install and splurge ur moolah .... but ur ROI also need to wait a few yrs to get back....

Also its only worth it if TNB pays u back ur surplus energy.... if not mistaken the first batch of NEM application in MAlaysia got the best deal..... unfortunately no more alredi......
