Getting my new car soon, it omes with factory tint which i think is the cheapo ones
So can i tint on top of the factory tint to improve the heat rejections?\
What are the implications?

can.. it's call double tinting...But remember,if someday you need to remove it for any reason,you have to remove both..So don't install cheapo one on top the expensive one..

if install cheapo one over expensive one,it will degrade early so you'll need to remove it early.But the expensive one usually last long time..Make sense to install expensive on top existing tinted.Factory tint is still superior to the cheapo one outside..Many people install cheapo tint just to darken the window because factory tint usually aquarium one.But when the cheapo one develop bubble,need to remove both including the factory tint.Rugi lor

plus u need to know the factory tint's VLT
stock mirror's VLT is around 10% already

Most of the free tints were given by salesman and cheapo stuff! Just rip them off and apply a good quality branded tint film! But please don’t go to those Ah Beng accessories shops to get ‘tinted’!

Can. My sides came with a security tint and I didn't want to spend another few hundreds/thousand on security tint so just layer another high TSER tint on the sides.

I pulled out the front cause the tint I'm getting is way better. Did with 3M and they gave warranty on it as well.

Oh okay.. sounds logic, didnt thought about bubbling.

Idk why but I lucked out using rm400 nano (?) tint, 5 years and still going strong. Real good quality shit

like i said before, u put 2 layers on it...2nd layer easily is over the legal VLT already
stock glass alone is around 10+-% VLT already....1st layer i don't know....20-30+%....factory tint looks very clear but u never know the numbers

so 2nd layer of tint has very slim margin to play with
