There were no explanations. Apart from the fact that the phone was badly optimized.

Some symptoms of this camera lag.
- whole UI unusable for 2-8s depending on situation and the heat on your phone, upon taking a picture.
- you will encounter a delayed 2-5s sometimes before a picture was really taken.

You won't see this issue, if :
- anecdotal experience on online community; it happens to 10-20% of the S21 owners, both Exynos and SD888
- your phone is new, you wouldn't see issue like this.
- more files and apps installed on your phone. I have tried with the absolute basics; whatsapp and Slack, still it happens.

Service Center will not entertain your request, went there few times and what they would do was "oh, your phone is fine, no issues whatsoever" (after they reflashed the OS and reset everything).

I am selling this phone at a loss, 2nd hand.

My iPhone have no such lagging issue.

exactly, for hardcore fans, the lag is justified by future updates to solve. how ignorant.

I have lagdroids as well, they as slow all time. RM1.2k justified the price.

there were no camera lags for most of my highend androids since more than 5 years ago. this lag is not justified for a flagship phone of 2021.

came to think of it, i have never had such lag on my camera ever. even my 1st smartphone performs way faster back in 2007.

That's too bad, would've expect the phone to be stable....
TS, which variant of S21 are you using? I'm curious, of course doesn't matter much in a sense hehe.

s21 plus, you can google to see how widespread this issue was

My Note 10 Plus camera also lags. Same as my OnePlus 5. Both have lots of RAM and plenty of storage space left.

After clear the cache, all OK. Need to do this every 6 months or so.

not sure your experience without a video. the lag isnt due to cache whatsoever as clearing it doesnt solve my issue.
plus, all my previous high end phones have no such issues; note 10. note 9 and nexus 6p. just to name a few.
