I gave my kids the orange version the bottle sit there for years in the fridge lel

As a kid this was a daily staple.

My now late grandma used to have a cane nearby because there was a dose of this, Waterbury's Compound and Haliborange.

Then once per week Milk of Magnesium and once per month Combandrine.

Surprised no one here remembers Shakey's pizza. The branch at BB Plaza used to have a buffet.

Can remember I could really stuff myself at the buffet as a teen, now buffets are an absolute waste of money as can hardly eat that much any longer.

I only ate the top icing part. the cookie part I gave to my mother hahaha.
*
Hehe yes. Same here, thankfully those days my mum and grandma always insisted we ate it outside otherwise ants would come.

Brownie the mongrel was always handy those days because he would eat up the cookie part.

Got red colour Horlick, idk why I like the colour... Can't remember the taste if not mistaken it's choco

Btw ayam minum fern lip brand susu ayam muntah in car... Luckily my dad is not child abuser....
*
Red is choco, blue was malt.

Not bought Horlicks for a long time. Red ones still available?

As a kid, I did not drink powdered milk because I would develop all kinds of rashes everywhere and hated goats milk. Therefore it was always fresh milk delivered by that punjabi milkman on a motorcycle. That was until I moved to Kota Kinabalu where fresh milk was delivered by a Sino Kadazan guy in a Datsun 120y station wagon that came from Kundasang.

Good thing about cars those days and vomit, it all had rubber mats on the floor unlike now where it is all fabric.

But the real secret to those lamps that would simply last forever was the ballast/choke that came with it.

What a pity they no longer make them like it used to be made.

of course we remember shakey's!

used to hang out at CM annexe branch ( a friend of mine worked there before ) , in front of now closed Mcdee CM

the corner branch in front of sjmc now become domino's
*
I believe their operations was taken over by Dominos hence why many were converted?

I always thought Shakey's tasted better than Pizza Hut.

Always surprises me just how many things from the past no longer exist except in memory.

Anyone here used to be into assembling Tamiya model kits?

1/10, 1/24 or 1/36 scale?

The one shop I could literally spend hours at was Hobby Jaya at Sg Wang.

ah, the cheap one will turn into this sooner or later

yes domino's malaysia takeover their business

we are getting older bro. what to do.

I missed their mojo potato

Yes the mojos were really good. Always well seasoned and had a distinctive taste to it too.

What a pity Domino's never retained any of the products when they took it over.

Did you know those old ballast are worth quite a bit of money these days. Many people buy them to retrofit them into LED lamps because it is the best ones for power stability especially in lightning prone areas.

tamiya stuff during my time is kinda expensive

thinking to do something like this after this

and this. such a beauty.

Tamiyas were never cheap and till today they are quite expensive in Malaysia. Always bought in Singapore.

Steam railways, I used to be a volunteer at a heritage railway during uni. Nothing beats that feel of operating a steam locomotive. What a pity none exist in SE Asia.

Was never into watercraft radio controlled but briefly had a RC Spitfire that was made from a balsa wood kit. Alas it crashed and by then girls were more interesting hehehe.

That one broken down more often than it runs.

I wonder if it is now operational or grounded again.
