hmm...is now a good time to start invest? going to meet up my agent tomorrow...

You could try to enter some, but not too much.
Keep spare cash to enter again if market goes lower.
I personally would enter next month, as market could be lower then.
Don't be in a rush, study the market, and don't just listen to your agent blindly.

If you haven't switch out today, you'll need to suffer tomorrow's and thursday's HSI loss before you can make a move after the closing of thursday 's session

China funds (PCSF, PCIF and PBCPEF) have dropped significantly. Anybody want to get into them now? Or still holding back? Topping up perhaps?

Does China funds still that attractive?

Apply for telemutual (phone). Its free and your agent only need you to sign a form. Topup can be done in any public bank branches. I guess if you never had telemutual it means your money is currently sinking with the current crash sad.gif. All agents i know don't really care about switching for their clients.

Currently PM doesn't have online facility.

The nearest you could get is Telemutual.

The application is available at the URL above.

Just want to check with you guys

This is related to regional funds. So as an example PCSF

*The % is assumption
Tues HangSeng -10%
Wed HangSeng +10% (but Malaysia public holiday)
Thurs HangSeng +10%

So what would be Thurs's closing for PCSF. Is it +10% or +20% (inclusive of Wed)

You're making full force with PCSF?

Investments (Valued On 18/01/2008):- RESERVE CASH (0.00%), FD (20.67%), PCSF (79.33%) = 100% (Net Profit = 6.55%)

HSI rebounced today. Let's see how HSI and regional market will perform tomorrow. If DJIA doesn't keep to the play, very likely that regional market will be having a roller coaster trip again. Today up, tomorrow might be down.

U cant check your portfolio online. Telemutual is one of the way, 2nd way is to go Public Mutual branches n ask for a print out of the statement, 3rd for sure will be your agent lor.

For topup...u can head directly to any of the Public Bank, else, the easiest, fastest, hassle-free method is to get Public Bank online account. U can do top up from your computer at your office or your home, no need to wait for ur agent. easy nod.gif

Since I switched out of China funds about 2 months ago, I have never seen the fund performing as well.
The government there is intervening with the economy, stopping the rapid growth.
So, I doubt it would be so attractive anymore. I would rather put my money in our neighbours smile.gif

Yes, I have experienced this before.
That is why we need to be wise to choose our agents.
No point listening to all the sweet talks.
The best way to search for good agents is by referral, but you have to make sure you can trust the person wink.gif
Nowadays a lot of agents realised this, so they are paying people to recommend clients.
Just a word of caution for current/new investors smile.gif
