I am not too sure if I have asked any agents here before, if say I have a fund, and it declared me distribution of say RM1K for this year. May I know if withdrawing this RM1K distributed amount, will it affect my MGQP? If it will affect, anyhow to calculate it?

QUOTE(lwb @ Jun 15 2009, 09:43 PM) the market has hit bottom? well, unless you're referring to something over 3mths ago.. i don't see the relevance of what you're saying here. however.. i got a feeling a "w" is on the way.. so, you might have a new bottom to put it back to relevance again I supposed it's correction?

@Kinitos I guessed there's a lot of PM funds which has distribution consecutively 3 or more years... Those funds which I have, which are local do give distribution every year e.g. PIX, PIBF...
Alternatively you can consider dividend funds from PM.

I heard PSMALLCAP declared 8 cent/unit. That's a high distribution!

QUOTE(lwb @ Sep 1 2009, 10:04 PM) you don't get much after you factor in the price equalization.. it's not as though you actually get 8cent/unit in cash like from a stock/shares distribution.. You are right on this point... that's why my agents told me that cost averaging is important

@226K, Basically the prospectus is not out and I am not too sure too much on this fund. It's better you read the prospectus properly before you do any investment

Has anyone tried to purchase Mutual Funds through their online website? Today I purchased the PAUEF through online. The transaction gone through successfully PBe Banking, but when returning to Public Mutual website, it returned an error. I think this happened because my IE8 pop-up was blocked.
I am not too sure if the transaction goes through for PM or was the fund account was opened...
Anyone faced this problem before whether it's Initial Investment or Additional Investment?
Appreciately greatly on your replies...

@Jordy, Thank you for the quite response. The only worry I have is whether the information such as agent code, holder to sign etc got captured at Public Mutual system. I can't believe PM Online is such a poorly design system. My first impression towards this is already bad...
Anyway, by tomorrow if there is no reply from PM Customer Service I will call them.
Thank you for the advice.

Hi, can any agent or experienced investor let me know if I have switch out ALL my funds from an account (e.g. AccountABC) a year ago and now, I would like to invest back into that fund under AccountABC? Currently what I can see from my PMO is AccountABC has 0 units...

@Jordy, Thank you for your reply. OK, you may take this example. I bought PIX a year ago & switched all to PCSF. Now my PIX account is left with 0 units and I am not too sure if it's closed. Now, I want to reinvest RM100 (not RM1K) into the PIX account I bought a year ago, is it possible?
@howszat, I know switching can be done provided the switched amount is RM1K and above. I rephrased my sentence from my reply to Jordy.

@David, Great information you have there! Btw, I know this account will still be active after a few years but what if I don't want to perform 'switching'? Instead I would want to reinvest in that account with minimum investment, say RM100. Will this transaction go through?

I am trying this out because I believe that PMO did not put a checking on 0 units account if we want to invest a minimum of RM100. What I am trying to say is, if the account=0 & it's not closed, any amount should go through especially when we use PMO. If there is checking then the transaction should be blocked... but just now it went through just fine. Probably on Monday they will reject it? David why did you switch out PITTIKAL isn't it a great fund?

@David83, I have registered for it. The option is to allow users to transac investment through Public Mutual when you register for that option. For example, you already have a Public Mutual account (opened through Public Mutual) and you would like to invest through PMO, you need to 'enable' this option through PBe before you can perform any transaction.

David, i walked into Public Mutual branch to apply for the PMO. In order to transact from your PMO which links to your PBE, you need to activate "Public Mutual" from your PBE
