QUOTE(kingkong81 @ Nov 16 2007, 11:01 PM) Though Vietnam is one of the most profitable market in SEA for past 3 yrs, concentrating on Vietnam alone is definitely not a great idea. Vietnam might not be always growing like that. Other markets in SEA is oso experiencing growth, so diversification to other SEA markets can reduced risk as well as tap into the markets growth. So, all market oso make money SEA market also greatly influenced by US market. Once US have a sneeze, SEA market has a flu and cold.

QUOTE(Jordy @ Nov 19 2007, 04:38 PM) Again, a good time to start picking up again Don't miss this chance, as most NAV are already very low. Dam ... I switched my PCSF at the wrong date. NAV was a little high!

QUOTE(Jordy @ Nov 20 2007, 10:10 PM) Hmm, my PCSF is getting to breakeven point very soon Thank god my PBADF and PIADF still holding on All my favourite funds have dropped a lot in recent weeks ... PFES and PAIF. Those new funds are barely in break-even (below initial NAV) ... PFEPRF and PSEASF. What am I doing? Now with PCSF, it's definitely not in breakeven at all after switched! QUOTE(dzi921 @ Nov 20 2007, 10:36 PM) Lucky I switched all out that time Now waiting for the right time to switch back. Still dare not now cause seems too volatile. The path is not clear yet I still could tolerate as long as it's still higher than my average unit cost. Can "forgive" PAIF since it's just after distribution.

QUOTE(Jordy @ Nov 21 2007, 08:43 PM) I would prefer topping up to buying, as PCIF is still new, so the portfolio is not fully built up yet, whilst the older funds are already in the market. So, it'll jump more when the market rebounds. But the fund managers for PCIF might have a different strategy for it, or maybe they could finish up the portfolio in less than a month, since the stock market is very low now It's quite true that the stock market is low now but PCIF still hasn't start its trading yet. It still has 20 plus days to go. Of course, we couldn't predict what's going to happen later. If PCIF starts to trade now, I couldn't agree more that they could finish up the portfolio in less than a month. However, if the market rebounces, then it'll be harder to get attractive counters at attractive low price.

QUOTE(dzi921 @ Nov 22 2007, 08:34 PM) Oh ... they improved the page by providing the full name of the funds; not just acronyms. QUOTE(dzi921 @ Nov 22 2007, 08:36 PM) With only RM1k to invest... don't expect great service That's very true. My total investment with PM is more than that and my agent doesn't give a damn on me. Be prepared for DIY. This post has been edited by David83: Nov 22 2007, 08:37 PM

QUOTE(am_eniey @ Nov 26 2007, 11:09 AM) what's the benefit if I invest RM100K in PM?? You'll become a Mutual Gold member provided RM 100k is in equity funds.

If the reduced service charge is going to happen, well, I might want to wait for new funds launched next year.

Seems like my PFEPRF is gaining much forward momentum (0.2381). Feel like want to give up this fund when it's break-even again later.

QUOTE(Jordy @ Nov 26 2007, 08:50 PM) That was why I went out of that fund long ago. Property sector is not that strong now. I even have news that property prices are going to slump soon OMG ... this is definitely not a good thing to hear.

QUOTE(Jordy @ Dec 1 2007, 09:14 PM) It should last a few days IMHO. So, if you have local fund or funds with a lot of local exposure, you should gain. My investor invested in PIDF last Monday, now almost made the return for my client PBIEF is the top gainer for this little uprising.

QUOTE(KingRichard @ Dec 3 2007, 01:13 PM) didn't PIEF and PIttikal just gave out dividends few months back? now they are giving interim dividends as well? Same goes to PFES. Distribution payout was done in May 31st, 2007. Anybody could clarify this? Wow ... 10 cents per unit for PITTIKIAL. That's a lot! This post has been edited by David83: Dec 3 2007, 02:01 PM
