Hi all, I got some questions regarding some old PC games.

I have the original retail game of Modern Warfare 2 and Lost Planet.
I have a old PC running XP and I want to install those 2 games, but Steam no longer support on Windows XP.
Is there anyway to bypass Steam for install the games?

*I just want single player mode, no interest in multiplayer

I keep my old PC running XP for other old games, cause some old title won't run on Win 7

These are my retail game, not that I want download pirate version

These games with DVD installers doesnt require Steam to run. They are Publisher releases, not Steam release. But why are you asking here when you can just install and try haha

Many retail release require Steam to run, even they come in disc.
My Modern Warfare 2 comes with 2 DVD, and the installer inside actually is a Steam installer, but game data will copy from DVD.

I like retail box game, it kind of give me the feeling that I actually own the game (Which is not actually cause it tie to Steam)
When Modern Warfare release it meant for Win XP/Vista, and now both not supported and need newer OS.

Guess I'll have to find some "not very original" copy from the internet.
