If you can afford, get a USB DAC or Sound Blaster X3 (USB).

Do you still have the original box? Look for a sticker that states the distributor/supplier company
RMA with the distributor/supplier instead of RMA'ing with the shop

*Just a warning though, not all distributor/supplier allows direct end-user RMA
If the distributor for your motherboard is Achieva, just make up some story, telling them you bought the motherboard from a computer shop in Johor while you were there, so it's troublesome for you to go back to Johor just to RMA the motherboard.
Lately, Achieva is making it harder for end-users to do direct RMA with them, but it's still possible if your story is believable

Just drop by their office in PJ, settle

Don't bring the purchase receipt or else they'll know your story is a made-up story LOL
They don't need the receipt to know the warranty status, they have it in their own database

By the way, they will not replace your motherboard immediately as they still have to test it thoroughly and it still depends on stocks availability
But at least when you RMA directly with the distributor, the process will be a lot faster than RMA with the shop

I've RMA'ed with Achieva tons of times, the longest I had to wait is 2 weeks, shortest is 3 days. Way better with my previous experience RMA with a shop in Lowyat Plaza which took 1 month doh.gif
