Guys, for colonoscopy screening, anyone got any experience going for it?

I read that the day before colonoscopy will be given laxative to clear out everything. But is it mean we must admitted in hospital the day before screening? Thanks!

No need for admission. My mom was given the bowel cleansing medication to be taken at home in the evening and next morning before the colonoscopy screening

Just to share my case, is half day admit. Early in the morning go hospital, then everything done can go back after lunch time.

You will be given laxative to take at home and start taking approx 12 hours before your procedure(typically in the morning). Be prepared to spend most of your time on the toilet upon the laxative tongue.gif . You will need to be passing out clear water as a sign your bowels are clean smile.gif .
