I have no idea, but DS Auto whatsapp should reply any question during their office hour. Get an estimation quote from them, then maybe you can know if RM500 for power steering pump is ok or not.

If you are sure that the problem is leaking at the rubber hose/metal joint seam, you can look for a hydraulic parts shop in your area. These shops normally serves customers that operates hydraulic operated equipment like tractors, excavators, cranes etc..

Ask your mech to take out the problematic hose, and bring it to the hydraulic parts shop for repair. If it can be repaired aka they have the hose size, should be much cheaper than new. If can't fix then no choice, low cost options will be

a) get a power steering system leakage stopper - a kind of oil additive, I am using ATP AT-205 Reseal and managed to fix mine, not Unser though

b) get 2nd hand/chop-shop part

If the shop you fixing is buying original new piping from Toyota that amount is reasonable. If want cheapskate just ask mechanic to get hydraulic part shop to customize, but everything come with some pro & con if the pipe size is smaller you may felt heavier.
