QUOTE(Baconateer @ Mar 6 2021, 04:09 PM) Only Tank systems are affected. Snaptec is tankless from what I read. I'm looking for a water filter at the moment too and Snaptec is currently at the top of my list after researching for 2 days. |

QUOTE(amir.asyraf @ Mar 6 2021, 04:28 PM) this smells like low key advertising/shill If you read further there is the WaterTrack Technology to monitor usage and to replace the filters on timely manner vs say a standard filter based on time which makes total sense because no family are the same size and needs. That also goes for cold water. They are tankless means the technology is leaps ahead of tank systems. 30 years ago when I was a kid tank systems are already here.Edit: their models don't even have cold water lol. Only room temp water. Overpriced. Also the top end model's justification seems to be only the 7 inch touchscreen. Other than that, no different compared to the lower model. I always believe innovating such as the vacuum cleaners of yesteryear to something like Dyson cyclones makes perfect sense as human progresses and innovate ahead of time. https://www.thestar.com.my/news/nation/2021...ectricity-bills Read this here, its just 2 days ago news and its true as tank system continuously boil the water all the time for the sake of convenience but not efficiency. Understand that everyone is different but among all water filters, I find the Snaptec is really innovative and has clear visions based on my read ups. In fact the so called cyclone technology was originally used to separate particulates such as dust, dirt in production engineering and now where they are today? In the consumer market too. They are tankless, have Instant Heating Technology and WaterTrack Technology, which are very advanced in technology. The screen also makes sense as updates can be done over the air and update the GUI for new features. Its ahead of its time. To me its like reinventing the water filter which this industry has been the same since the start of time. It ain't expensive if you take to account 5/6 years contract under other brands. They have various plans for different customer needs. This post has been edited by StrOmGaLD: Mar 6 2021, 05:56 PM |

QUOTE(amir.asyraf @ Mar 6 2021, 06:14 PM) Nope, just an engineer who likes to look at things innovatively with data and attention to details. Instant Cold Technology is different from a Cold Compressor Systems that needs Freon Gas where by the water is continuously sitting in the tank for 24/7. For Tankless, it has happen in a second. They are working on that Technology front at the moment. And I think that's a really commendable. Personally, I think that's fine as some people don't drink cold water while some does. You must be someone which does. Good to have options for us consumers.Remember how Grab started? When they dominate then what happens? Consumer like us loses. The more company competitively competing, the better for us all, consumers. This post has been edited by StrOmGaLD: Mar 6 2021, 06:26 PM |

QUOTE(Asquith @ Mar 6 2021, 06:30 PM) Using LG Puricare tankless hot water and cold water system. Yup, that's correct as it runs on a traditional compressor system. Power should be used when no dispense is done.No complaints and it adds around rm0.15 per day of electricity usage if it is just left on ( the cooling unit uses power even when no water is dispensed. A good alternative to Coway or the likes as the unit has a smaller footprint. Tankless has smaller footprint, hence that's why I personally see it as an advantage vs tank systems too! Kitchen table top more cleaner and more space especially those in condos. This post has been edited by StrOmGaLD: Mar 6 2021, 06:36 PM |
