What SSD are you buying anyway? If you are not buying the Samsung brands, you can just try using the free software.
I still think cloning is better for some, it leaves the computer exactly as it was before.

Sometimes registry will mess things up, other times it's the software that's conflicting with your current version of Windows, etc.
but mine is OEM version windows 7 (got free upgrade to win 10 last time)
i afraid if i try to install fresh windows in new ssd, the software key no longer work ?
and if install windows 7 , will get free upgraded back to win 10 ? not sure if installation will detect that im actually already have the windows 10 previously?
