If that's the case, I'll just have to make a new partition on my harddrive. Curse AMD. Will definitely give this a whirl - I hope it'll serve as a pleasant introduction to the world of Mac OS X.

Any suggestions on how much disk space to allocate to the Mac OS X partition? I'm getting Mac OS X 10.4.6 to fiddle with first.

Eeeeek. This isn't working quite as well as I would have liked. I've more or less followed this tutorial down to every last word, opting to use the chain0 method to boot into Mac OS X 10.4.6. Darwin goes through its loading sequence, calling up all the necessary drivers. When it's just about to boot into the OS, the screen goes black and my computer reboots.
When loading with Darwin, the OSX tries doing a verbose startup even if I don't input any commands. Might try a reinstall because I installed both SSE2 and SSE3 patches on an SSE2-only machine. This post has been edited by yetieater: Oct 16 2006, 10:48 PM |
