I think my main problem of not being able to boot into leopard after installing successfully is my many partitions etc...
But its not like i made those partitions..it came with my laptop and i don't know how to just make it into 2 plain partitions without corrupting my vista...
My disk management is like this..
1) A drive called eisa configuration...
2) ACER(C drive) where my vista is installed
3) DATA (D drive) where i plan to install leopard
4) And unallocated 3GB drive...(I don't know what is this...cant extend etc..)
So what should i do??
I been trying so long and can't get it to work...pls help someone...Anyone with good pc knowledge pls help...
Hi..
U can set a partition form the Mac OS X dvd using Disk Utility.Just make sure u know which HD partition u want to use for Mac OS.
Once in the Disk Utility menu on the left pane there will be stated ur HD details.
Click on the partition u wish to install mac os x.Rename the partiotion to Macintosh HD or whatever u wish too rename.then choose Mac OS extended journal as the partition format. Then delete the partition that u created. It will eventually create new partition with the desired partition name that u did on the 1st step together with the mac os extended journal.
Exit the Disk Utility menu and continue on installing a fresh copy of ur OS X.Once it done installing...take out ur dvd installation disc and continue with ur normal boot up.It should be fine.Once in the boot menu type -v.
My personal advice if u still continue having the same problem as u describe try to format the whole HD using the Disk Utility as i described above with mac os extended journal partition.Remember to select MBR from the menu.
But pls backup..backup..backup ur personal data b4 u proceed. Then once u install the Mac OS X succesfully u can used Boot Camp or install a 3rd party software Parallel Desktop for ur windows Vista.
Cheers-

Using EasyBSD
but when try boot mac osx, it says HFS+ partition error
any solution?

Hi Kazasho,
Can u please describe more on what u did when installing the OS X.
What type of installer ur using btw?
I havent come across HFS+ partition error.Should be something wrong with the mac partition journal.
