I second that...too many lazy and stingy noobs lately...never read or try, then start asking basic questions when there's so much info out there.

As long as you can play the sound, then you don't have a problem. On my sytem it doesn't list either but it plays everything fine.

I am using GUID partition with retail (updated to 10.5.4) on a 200GB HD and MBR with Kalyway on my 40GB HD.

That's funny, DVD ram supports standard 4.7GB ,right ?

Just burn the iso file using Nero, it should work.
*
no... i get the info of my dvd ram with nero and it mention only 4.33 only little bit not enough space.
i try many times oderi...also try overburn...but stop at 98% with error.

dvds only support 4.33GB. it's only marketed as 4.7. same reason why a '4gb thumbdrive' only has 3.81gb

It should work, have to try upgrade 10.5.5 when get back my pc, still stuck at repair shop.  sad.gif
I thought you installed retail leapord, not iAtkos ?

Added on September 16, 2008, 10:53 pm

1. Although AMD should work, best choice is Intel especially Intel Core Dual and latest.
2. Correct, HFS+ Journaled is the right format.
3. Single boot, GUID or MBR should be no problem. If you running dual boot XP/Vista, MBR is better choice.

What is the message on the screen during boot up when it get stuck ?

then how come my pc can boot ...i m try install only osx86 10.5.2 (single boot)

You mean can not boot, right ? It probably means the drivers is not compatible with your hardware. You did not say what happen during boot up, what messages or anything. It's hard to tell from here.

First of all, OS X is design to install on Macs only, Apple never wanted any PC to run OS X. No major manufacturer actually write OS X drivers for their hardware (mother board, video, sound card and etc.). OSX86 is work of hackers, OSX86 distro = OS X + hacked drivers. Given PC with many variety combo of hardware, it is possible there is no driver for particular hardware. That's the reality of OSX86.

I suggest you try installing different driver option of your distro. It may take many tries and installing. You may also have try a different distro. Do your howework, find out how compatible is your hardware and read up insanelymac.com tutorial  .

That's what I thought earlier on. I used Kalyway as temp os to install retail leapord.

do i need to take out the disk after restart or ?how to make the disk bootable?
i m set the disk to mbr partition on install (and mention that 3 file is copy to disk...i think is bootloader file).

1. No need to take out DVD but you can try anyway. Have you check with fdisk or other disk utility to see whether partition is marked bootable ? It should be quite straight forward, install, reboot and leopard welcome screen appears (depends on distros, some distros no welcome screen).

Have you try pressing F8 to see boot up messages ?
