Hello there...

My system:-
i5 750 Proc….
DP55KG intel extreme mobo…
ATI HD4890 2GB DDR3….
Kingston DDR3 4GB….
Seagate 1TB HDD….
LG DVDR….
Running Windows 7 Build 7600 flawlessly….

At 1st, i cant even get the CD Boot to run whereas it keep looping to restart after a few lines… After reading google, i notice that my HDD SATA was not on primary mode but my DVD… so i switched and yes, it boot the chameleon…

As per the instruction, i switch d cd with Snow (your link) and waited till F5… Selecting that Mac OSX DVD, i tried to boot with arch=i386 and enter… it reboots instead of start installing…

Again after a few readings thru the older comments, saw this arch=i386 -v busratio=20 …… entered and after a list of lines, it disappoint me again….. it reboots….. no sign of installation….

Where do i go wrong sir? This is my first time porting OS X on PC anyway….

aaaahh... tho the answer is terrible for my setup, its a relief to know the truth.... been googling around and there's a pesona saying it runs on i5... not my mobo tho... Big thanks my man!!

Im waiting ..... U know my system from d prev post rite? i still cant make it work tho from youtube someone has booted and runs leopard on i5... but tat is with Asus mobo.... Nice effort man!

Owh... another thing.... I have retail DVD of SL 10.6..... When it says the 10.6.2 update is out, do i need to look for whole new 7GB install dvd of the 10.6.2 or, i dont know.... but is there any? i only found update files on google instead of retail 10.6.2 to make fresh install.... im not sure if you can understand what am i trying to say but i hope u do.... Thanks.... But the problem is, im on i5 with P55 chips intel (DP55KG) mobo which never can adopt neither Leopard or SL.... Booting chamleon works but installation just wont start... So, how am i suppose to update to 10.6.2 when i cant even port 10.6 at the first place hehehe.... what a dilemma... is there any way injecting 10.6.2 updates to 10.6 .iso file for a complete fresh 10.6.2 install dvd? or im talking rubbish here? the only osx product i have is the good old iphone lols.... but im eager to use SL on pc....

Already taken into account on that.... before this, i cant even boot the chameleon cdboot... after swithcing my HDD to primary and DVD to slave, config my SATA as ACHI instead of IDE (which used to install win7 b4), i am able to boot chameleon... only after switching to mac osx install cd SL 10.6, run arch=i386 or -v or cpus=1, the installation just dont start... it reboots... so after reading a lot here and there and the explanation from our master here, 10.6 actually not support i5 on P55 system yet.... iATKOS gives me firewire error problem....

Now that 10.6.2 is out and said to adopt i5 on P55, im looking for retail dvd of 10.6.2.... my main concern here is, will there be any retail 10.6.2 install dvd or just updates released for those who already running 10.6.... now thats my dilemma... all i can do is, wait.... wait.... wait.... sigh....

I managed to Install iATKOS V7 10.5.7 on the above system ..... Its my very first time.... and yes, instead of cpus=1, I need =4 to make it run... however, after the installation, booting was quite troublesome... need to retype -x cpus=4 busratio=20 to make it boot... its on safe boot mode.... -v gives me error KP .... i guess some of the driver on mobo is not present yet... ofcoz, i get full resolution on Sapphire HD4890 Vapor-X 2GB DDR5 which make me very happy for a compact superb performing cooler!! However, what sucks is, at first installation, i get "0"MHZ i5 750 and full 4GB DDR3 1333mhz..... but after playing around and reinstall fresh, i get 2.67mhz i5 750 but ram suddenly changed to 4GB DDR'2' '667' mhz!! wat was that??!! or should i say, why was that??!! very funny.....

Whats lack for now:-
1) Booting - need to type -x cpus=4 busratio=20 over and over again... but sure boot... (Any fix?)
2) No sound - Where can i get one for my mobo?
3) USB broadband modem - Not working (How to install when it is built for windows and only windows driver is embedded?)
4) I want my DDR3 1333Mhz back .......
5) I should have gone with dual boot.... lols.... now i have to do it over and over again.....

My Snow Leopard on Dell 10v rocks.... but now saw 11z launched.... celeron proc.... dunno bout this yet.... sure d gpu is different....

Try to boot with -x (Safemode) and see if any problematic kext....

BTW, anyone encountered this:-
~ USB Modem Huawei E160E no more working after 10.6.2... ok for 10.6.0 but havent tried on 10.6.1 yet... Im on P55 i5 system btw... but problem is not related with P55 im sure....

hah.... got benchmarking tools for office ah? ms office can lag one?

hahahaha.... chillax... play² ony ... btw, yes you can feel a difference when you fully load hell lots of information eg. graphical graph, visual basic control command, auto complete tasks, colors on cells etc... im talking excel... Snow handled quite well... i think so... coz on se7en, its just make a lol difference if on high end specs... wat im trying to say is, when comparing apple to apple specs, OSX handled slightly better... but on hackintosh on high specs and dual booting OS, you can barely see any difference on these apps... same goes to CS4 on my rig... rendering time is about d same...

Im having a problem installing Final Cut Pro 5 on Hackintosh..... My 4890 QE/CI is enabled... however, the warning was "not compatible" i get.... Googling around tells me tat its about VRAM amount... Checked about this mac and says my GPU VRAM is 45235698752mb!! WTF? any way to edit it via smbios if this is the problem and or any else? TQ

Is Quadro supported? the high end one.... like FX4600 and above....

Errr...... these are d things that i must learn...... watever it is, if its can, there must be a way than... thanks man... will look into it!

I was running 10.6.6 and have no problem playing movie thru Quicktime X.... Updated to 10.6.8, still have no problem... installed FCPx, i can still run Quicktime and import vid .MOV to FCPX... however, after doing some update on general and pro-apps (software update), QuicktimeX wont play any file anymore... not even its own .MOV... It crash and ask to reopen... Importing .MOV file to FCPx also caused same crash... why in the hell it happened? FYI, the gpu is GT240 with fully enabled QE/CI.... Is it just me?
