QUOTE(CPURanger @ Jul 14 2008, 10:27 PM) Yes, I would like get one too. However you should check out the hardware compatible list, EFIX HCLRecently I found out I bought the wrong motherboard for hackintosh, GA35-DS3. It should be GA35-DS3R or GA35-DS3L Another interesting fact, a malaysian dealer (don't know who) is negotiating to sell efix, EFIX Where to buySee the malaysia flag ? Funny no iphone 3G for malaysia but efix (hack product) for malaysia My motherboard is supported My friend said will be sold around RM500 according to other country's selling price.... QUOTE(CPURanger @ Jul 16 2008, 09:35 AM) yea that's how it ended. Usually apple tends to keep quiet. So about hackintosh, apple can just shut down if it wants. but apple doesn't. Hackintosh does help with Apple market and also development side (like those different various of hardware components). Mr Apple devil here

Hey guys, you all tried the new boot-132 loader, tried making a new topic but they are being anal retentive about a new forum post.
Have vista on the hard drive, but its MBR partitioned, heard you can't convert to GUID partition without destroying or reformatting the whole HD with a vanilla (retail) install cd.
Releases such as kalyway allows you to install on an MBR partition. What route did you guys take?

I am using GUID partition with retail (updated to 10.5.4) on a 200GB HD and MBR with Kalyway on my 40GB HD. yeah the problem arises when I want to create a GUID partition without deleting any of my existing data (vista) partition. I guess i'll have to go with Kalyway, any difference with using a retail disk? Some files have been deleted in Kalyway and other distros in order to fit in one 4.7 GB DVD. The retail Leopard DVD is a dual layer DVD, the total size is about 6GB. Minus Xcode (development tool which most people don't use) 1GB, that's about 5+GB just for OS install. Kalyway for example, have localize files (languages) and extra voice deleted. It should be OK, most people won't miss anything.
Backup your data before installing.

I have this funny problem with my Hackintosh. I remember it did recognize my USB HDD before this but right now, it doesn't. I installed a generic 2.0 USB driver last nite but it didn't help. Any other drivers that i could try? By the way, I'm on Kalyway 10.5.2 - Intel.

Okay, Kalyway successfully installed on my computer. Sound and everything seems to be working, only theres no graphic driver compatibility for my ATI 4850 card. Oh well, not too sure if I'll keep this around unless they develop a driver, in the mean time I'll continue hacking it.
What are your success stories?
-- so far on my Gigabyte GA-31M mother board -- everything works except
1. wifi -- even after installing the driver (I have an aztech usb, it has mac drivers on the cd) it says it doesn't work on an intel mac (!!) 2. resolution at 1024x768 3. doesn't restart on command

But remember in IT world, it is in binary numbers. So 1GB is equal to 1024Bytes. Do the math QUOTE(CPURanger @ Jul 23 2008, 11:26 PM) I m not sure if leo4all covers all files, the Leopard retail DVD is about 5+GB. If you minus those out, it can be put at a single layer dvd

If you minus those out, it can be put at a single layer dvd Xcode 3.0 (Developer tools) is about 1GB, 7 GB - 1GB = 6GB. So how can distros have complete files ? The first hack on Leopard installation done by BrazilMac. If you examine the shell file 9a581-patch.sh , it actually deletes X11, localize and other files in order to fit in single later DVD. This method is done for other distro. BrazilMac patch Added on July 24, 2008, 11:39 amQUOTE(gengstapo @ Jul 24 2008, 10:38 AM) hellas, is there any driver for i865g in mac 10.5.2?
