I'm a bit late to the Hackintosh party, and I've just installed a Hackintosh (using Kalyway 10.5.2) machine using a Shuttle SD30G2B with:
Core 2 Duo E4600 2.4GHz
2x2GB Kingston DDR2 667MHz RAM (Only 3.25GB recognized!  vmad.gif )
Asus Nvidia 8500GT Silent (Fan-less) 256MB Video Card
Realtek High Definition Audio (ALC888)
Maxtor 250GB SATA HDD
Pioneer DVD-115 RW
Dell E228 WFP Monitor
Linksys Wireless USB WUSB54G v4.0 (Got this 4 years ago and was just sitting in a box)

Managed to get the 8500GT driver installed and with VGA output at 1680x1050. Couldn't get DVI output to work with the native 1680x1050 resolution for the Dell E228WFP Monitor. With DVI, only 1024x768 works. Will have to live with VGA output for the moment.

I got all the help I needed from the forum at http://www.insanelymac.com/ and http://wiki.osx86project.org/. Everything was working after 2 nights of tinkering.
*
Finally managed to get DVI output at 1680x1050 with some help from http://nvinject.free.fr/.

Itching to build another hackintosh and letting go of my current hackintosh.

if you found out that there is no solution for your current wireless adapter, you might consider looking a external unit.

Check here http://wiki.osx86project.org/wiki/index.php/HCL_10.5.2 try to get those which work out of the box.

Post mortem
Working! Except Front Row, I believe this conflict causing by no wireless device installed for replacing Airport.

Ok. I got it working onb my 5920G Acer Laptop, but the Wifi adapter doesn't work.

Is there any Mac capable USB WiFi adapter available that you have tested with? I checked the OSX86 forums, and they gave very conflicting opinions........

releks dude...

First thing is, try different type of DVD installer. For my case, Kalyway and Zephyroth didnt work. Only Leo4allv3 pass thru installation. Sometimes burning prosess or torrent file itself can be currupted. Notice that.

Check bios setting, USB lagecy support should be disable. For IDE mode, I leave default, but choosing ACHI make my main drive as external??

choosing right driver really put yourself in strees! I ve done more than 10 times installation for try n error.

those OSX86 forum should be your best friend nod.gif

Yay! Typing my first post using my Hackintosh!

I bought the Netgear WG111 USB stick and it works OOB using Kalway's 10.5.2. I re-formatted everything and it seems absolutely PERFECT now.

Will be keeping this OSX until I'm sick of it!

Only sometimes, the keyboard can go off suddenly. Anyone had this problem before?

No matter.

BTW.... I installed it using the "vanilla" install.... should I try downloading the new 10.5.3 update?
